theres quite a few ways to cleanse your space, materials, or yourself! such as smoke, water, and sound cleansing!
*Smoke Cleansing*
NOTE: smoke cleansing IS NOT smudging. smudging is a closed practice originating from native americans. do not call your smoke cleanse "smudging" if you are not part of the culture it is from.
smoke cleansing can be done with candles, incense, or herb bundles!
i personally smoke cleanse by opening the windows to release negative energy, and walk through the home with an incense stick, wafting the smoke onto the walls and furniture. i also cleanse my tools by wafting the smoke onto them. now my way is obviously not the only way, its all up to preference, do whatever feels best to you!
*Water Cleansing*
water cleansing is normally done with moon water! i use a glass spray bottle filled with moon water and mist the area with the water to cleanse it :]
*Sound Cleansing*
sound cleansing is a very simple option, and great if you dont have materials for smoke or water cleansing!
you can use a singing bowl, a musical instrument, or just pots and pans! just open the windows and make some noise, all while keeping your intention of cleansing the space of negative energy in your mind.
