Give in to your inner pirate with these adorable Blue Pirate Cake Pops. This delicious treat is perfect for any celebration with a pirate theme because it combines the sweetness of candy melts with the moistness of blue velvet cake.
Ingredients: 1 box of blue velvet cake mix. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup blue candy melts. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. 1 cup white candy melts. Black food coloring. Silver edible pearls for decoration. Wooden cake pop sticks.
Instructions: Prepare the blue velvet cake mix according to package instructions. Allow the cake to cool completely, then crumble it into fine crumbs in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add this mixture to the cake crumbs and mix until well combined. Roll the cake mixture into small balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Insert a wooden cake pop stick into each ball. Melt the blue candy melts with vegetable oil in the microwave or using a double boiler. Dip each cake pop into the melted blue candy, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow excess to drip off. Place the coated cake pops back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and let them set. Melt the white candy melts and add a few drops of black food coloring to create a grey color. Use this mixture to create pirate hat shapes on the top of each cake pop. Decorate the pirate hats with silver edible pearls to represent skull and crossbones. Allow the cake pops to fully set before serving. Serve and enjoy your delicious Blue Pirate Cake Pops!
