"zuko!" she bounces with a wave of her hand towards him, wearing a new hairstyle. "what do you think? a nice lady did my hair for me. don't i look like a fire nation human now?" in spite of the bright-red color and ocean-blue eyes .. still, ariel gives a twirl to show off her new hairstyle.

Zuko’s golden eyes soften the moment he sees her. The new elegant style… suits her in a way that unexpectedly tugs at his heartstrings.

He stares at her, mouth open for a second, before smiling warmly. He doesn't say anything right away, because seeing her so proud and beautiful affects him deeply. He was…. happy to see her like this.

He finally manages to speak, with a slight blush on his face, but this time he doesn't hide it: "…You're… beautiful."

Heaven knows what had possessed him to join Ariel and the other nobles in playing this game. If Will had to guess, it would have been Ariel's smile and demeanor, seeing her smile that was enough for him to play this game. Which is how he found himself in this small storage room. His body was pressed up against hers, his arms resting on either side of her. "We are so close now." He thought to himself as his heart started to quicken when he met her eyes. It didn't matter who initiated the kiss, yet here they were. The angel could feel her arms wrapping around his neck and pulling him closer to her.

He tasted Ariel, the way her tongue pressed against his, meshing around with his. This feeling caught his heart ablaze, tasting her and wanting to feel more of her. This caused his fingers to wander around her body. Will had to call out to her to be quiet as he pulled away from their kiss. If the other nobles caught them in this moment. He worried about what would happen to them. His sapphire colored eyes scanned Ariel's lovely face as he noticed her now darkened blue eyes. Could mermaids change their eye colors? It would be a question that he would have to ask her later. "Let them?" He repeated her words, noting how sultry they were, but before he could add more. Will felt Ariel's lips crashing upon his again.

The angel's only thought was that he wanted more of her, more of kissing her. His hands found their way back to the small of her back as he held her close against his chest. He slipped his tongue inside her mouth again, tasting her tongue again. Whatever change he had noticed in Ariel, it was the last thing on his mind.

Oh boy, he knew something was up. Just the look on Ariel's face was enough to break your heart...and be ready to fight whoever was the cause of it. He was about to ask where they were but apparently, it wasn't anybody in particular. She just seemed to be having one of those days.

Poor kid...

She thought for a moment, taking Ariel's words into consideration. "It could be," though she had been told she had been light of foot. "Maybe it's both..." she mused aloud, forgetting she hadn't said the last part out loud.

He was proud of her, the little tot learning the world and the beautiful things in it. His heart swelled as she automatically went to grab the watering can that was too big for her and went to help water the plants.
