To give them some grace, Ariel had caught him by surprise. And perhaps that was what had stoped him from pushing Ariel away when she climbed on top of him. The look in her eyes was... something else. Was that how the mermaids of fairy tales seduced sailors and convinced them to join them in water? Despite her not being in her mermaid form right now, she was giving the same alure.
Never before he had noticed how pretty her eyes were up until now, or how she had such a magnificent shade of red in her hair. Without thinking, his tail started to wag.

One could live for a hundred years and still not even be close to reading it all. "I admit, it's tempting to hole myself up in here and do nothing but explore. But heavens know Adam would be lost without me."
Once they settle, she idly peruses Ariel's choices. "Oh!" She picks up a leather-bound text. "You have to read this one so we can discuss it! Popular Astronomy by Camille Flammarion is one of my favourites. Did you know that stars have nurseries, too? What a delightful thought!"
