This is another neglected reader but hear me out

Reader is Bruce’s oldest daughter maybe around dicks age but a little younger

Her mom and stepdad basically got blown into pieces after joker terrorizes Gotham AGAIN for the millionth time

She didn’t really care that she was neglected and came to terms with it when she saw how Bruce was more devoted to dick than her

Focuses on her future and getting through college and she decided to study psychology and become a psychiatrist

After she gets her degree and graduates with Alfred and duke being at her graduation (duke goes because she’s his role model)

Lands a job at the Phoenix program!

Yes! You heard that right she works at dispatch! Yay how exciting!

And she basically does group therapy and individual with team Z

And they notice a golden ring on her finger. Is she married? Who’s her husband? If you thought it was Robert you are CORRECT!

Maybe they got married before Robert even knew what dispatch is and what the phoenix program was

Reader and Robert met when she first moved to LA and saw Robert being depressed in park (you guys have the creative freedom on how they click and become a couple but the do bond over their daddy issues)

But they fall in love and have a cute small and intimate wedding with little beef being the ring bearer (Alfred officiated the wedding ofc)

Alfred and chase are besties

Btw reader found out Robert was Mecha Man fairly early on in their relationship (them detective genes kicked in) and after the whole exploding incident and going into a coma

She freaks out and gets blonde blazer to get Robert to become a dispatcher and maybe help her out in the phoenix program because she knows Robert can get through to the Z team since he’s more into the hero stuff

Back in Gotham Alfred is baking in the kitchen with readers wedding photo framed on the kitchen island

Tim walks in to get coffee, sits on one of the stools as he leans on the island looking at framed photo “why do we have a random couples wedding picture?” (Tim hasn’t seen reader at ALL she left to dorm after Jason died)

And maybe the other batsibs are there hanging out in the kitchen or maybe Dick is helping Alfred

Duke walks by “oh that’s Reader and her husband, She looked so beautiful! Oh and their dog beef is so adorable!” (Duke was invited to the after party)

Dick freezes takes a double take snatched the picture off the island “what?! I thought she was in college still??” Jason walks in to see dick freaking out over the picture ‘wow looks like he finally lost it’ only for dick to grab his shoulders while shaking him violently “did you know reader is married??”

Jasons confused the last time he saw her was when she was in Gotham academy. Then he freaks out like what do you mean my fav older sibling got married and I wasn’t even there to be apart of it, he then proceeded to get angsty

Finally Bruce walks in along with Damian to see Tim trying to stalk reader and her husband trying to find information on them (only to find barely anything they are very private), Dick crying in agony that he never got to bond with his younger sister to even know she got married, and of course Jason being all angst

Alfred: “they figured out reader got married 7 years ago”

(currently Robert is 32 and reader is 27 (also I’m really trying with the ages ok 😭 dick is 28-29 and reader is younger than him by 2 years or 3 max but Robert did meet reader after she graduated college, got employed, and comfortable where she was in her career))

Bruce is confused like what do you mean I have a kid who got married? Last time I check half of them are in the manor or out on a mission. Then it hit him HARD “wait, wait… do you mean reader?” You mean to tell me I missed my oldest daughter WEDDING? When was the last time I saw her? Her graduation? Wait no I was on a mission…what about her birthday? Nope I was out on a gala…

He then realized how much of a deadbeat of a father he was to reader. Damian being the menace he is does not give a fuck and goes into the batcave to do a thorough investigation on reader and how “worthy” she is to be a Wayne

Alfred is just old and tired questioning how they noticed now rather than before when he put the picture up 7 years ago

The man is mecha again.

This is for two primary reasons: they are troubled youths and they are ‘supernatural creatures.’ A demon, a dragon, a ghost—and that’s just the beginning. Perhaps, then, this orphanage is better to be thought of as a holding house for the unwanted

The supernatural unwanted, the children remind their caretakers, when they’re told a human is coming to stay with them. It’s temporary, they claim, actually temporary, not the lie they told the children

The human arrives. He is Robert Robertson the Third. A pretentious name for a kid who looks a lot like they did when they were slumming on the streets. Robert is wary of them, but he seems wary of everyone, viewing the natural and unnatural as equal threats

The kids try their damnedest to frighten Robert, to make it known he isn’t welcome and they won’t tolerate disrespect. Robert seems uninterested in the entire thing. Feels no fear, exhibits no embarrassment, carries himself with no shame

He lacks as many personal items as he does a personality. For a human, he acts more like a shapeshifter who hasn’t quite figured out the human thing and doesn’t care to, either

The children, in their generosity, decide to change that. Instead of pranking Robert, it becomes a lesson in developing a personality

They soon discover that Robert has—had?—one. Sarcastic, determined, strangely optimistic, interested in doing things with or for the others but never himself. There’s pieces of Robert that were buried away. And as the dirt shifts away, there comes knowledge about his poor habits. As supernatural creatures, they aren’t fully sure what a human needs, but being constantly in pain and barely eating and sleeping seem unhealthy. That, too, must be fixed

And right when they think they’re at a breakthrough, the incident happens. They discover why Robert was sent to Phoenix Orphanage, a place for troubled supernatural kids, in the first place

For as human as Robert is, the stars have favored him. At his handler’s word, the star known as Blue possesses Robert. Grants him gifts, takes his autonomy. No longer a boy but a weapon to take down supernatural creatures

If not that Royd being really cuddly and using his height to get a really long cuddle session on the couch

You know those giant dogs who still act like tiny lap dogs? Yeah, that’s basically Royd. “Come on ipo, just gimme 5 more minutes…Hawaiian style.” (That means 15x5, aka 1hr and 15mins)

Sometimes he’ll basically drape himself over his partner like a weighted blanket or a jumbo teddy bear. He just likes being close to the person he loves.

He often uses his weight and stature to his advantage, cuddling on top of his beloved (can’t stop cuddles if you can’t move, after all).
