I never realized/comprehend how old the archons actually are u til you think about their age in rl terms
Nahida was born 500 years ago. To put that in real life terms, if you went back 500 years you would find yourself in 1526 ad. About the time of the renaissance.
If nahida was real she would have been about to meet Leonardo da Vinci. Nahida would have been around to see the start and fall of the Ottoman Empire.
Furina is at least 500 years old meaning if furina was a real person she would have been able to meet Louie the 14th and she would have been centuries old at that point. Furina is older than the first opera.
Mavuika is about 500 and a few decades. Meaning that she was around when horses to North America. And that makes her in modern day funnier. This women who could have watched Shakespeare plays
The Roman republic was started about 2,534 years ago.
Venti is about 2,600 years old. Meaning that if venti was real he would have lived through to meet the eutrusisns, 3 Punic wars, the start of the Roma empire, the fall of the Roman Empire.
Ei was said to have lived before the archon war so sheās about 3000 years old but probably older. Meaning that if she was a real person she would have been born doing the collapse of the Bronze Age. she has lasted as long as the Mayan empire .
The pyramids are about 4,000 old. Mammoths finally died out 4,000 years ago. The wheel was invited around 5,000 years ago.
If Zhongli was real he could have meet a mammoth, saw the pyramids be built, and wittiness the creation of the wheel. This guy would have been 2,000 years old when the xia empire was founded (one of the first empires in china) .
Donāt get me started on Nicole that girl was probably around when farming was invented and phanes probably saw the Cambrian explosion take place.

Alright look thereās no way to crop the main image so hereās the full page lol
Heās not that different from his original design, he just lost his body feathers
Still has his extra arms that represent touch and affection (like how heās hugging himself in the second pose)
The differences are that his hair is now up (even though on the statues itās probably fire?? Idk lol) but he still has his feathery hair and small wings
His actual wings are on display now and he has his giant snake! (And eggāat least Iām assuming itās an egg on his head)
I donāt remember why I gave him horns? But he has themāfor now anywayā
This is him more fancy in jewelry and also based on the lion, ram, and bull (idk why it changed to lion ack-) thatās depicted on him (or at least Phanes)
But I didnāt know how to incorporate into his body like the statues so⦠he just has a really cool girdle and pendant lmao

Theory: Hroptatyr, Dottore & Pantalone are collaborating
Spoiler warnings for archon quests up to Luna VII (6.6) and Lohen's story quest!
This is my second attempt at posting this, as my first try was blocked by tumblr for having too many reference links (great). Main catalyst for this theory was the fact that I am unable to stop thinking about these characters and a fascinating Hroptatyr-analysis on reddit I will link in the comments. Also shoutout to @/lonethetraveler who had an inspiring idea about the connection between Pantalone and Nibelung and @/elysianheresy for hyping me up, hehehe.
TLDR: apart from this trio having oddly similar world views and goals (especially H & D), Hroptatyr's abyssal power most likely stems from Nibelung's remains which are the main component of the elixir of immortality.
Hroptatyr is one of Odin's many names, meaning sage. The god is known for having an insatiable hunger for knowledge ā so much so that he uses two messenger ravens, Huginn and Muninn, to observe the world and collect any information so they can carry it back to him. Huginn is often seen as the main raven, the one who embodies "thought". His companion embodies "memory". Together, they are able to prepare Odin not just for what is transpiring in the present, but help him predict how the fate of the world might play out and how to handle it, as events tend to repeat themselves (-> our beloved samsara cycles).Ā
Now, clearly, our number one target for corvid motifs is none other than Zandik himself. I am not going into why he is the perfect fit for that role since I assume it has been analysed sufficiently by others. For Feofan, unless he is indeed related to Avrelian/Reed Miller, as many suspected pre-6.6, I have yet to find more raven motifs on him tbh. I will refrain from speculation right now; he will play a different role. Either way, the concept of gathering information via an expansive network while also breaking the concept of time via segments ... yeah, these two would fit the idea.
Why would Hroptatyr be involved? It is unclear how flexible he is in time and space, so perhaps having an actual present-time collaborator, or two, would play into his hands. As the sinner against reason, he has some beef with Phanes, just like Nibelung did in the past. It is highly likely that the stuff King Irmin had the Twin retrieve from "deep deep down" was the same substance later on consumed by the sinners. And rather than regular Sea of Stars juice it was, in fact, Nibelung's remains.Ā
We learned in Lohen's story quest that Ursa, once an angel, then a dragon, was also stored underground, and her flesh was able to keep an old human alive for longer than fate had predicted for him. And now imagine what would happen to you if that was not just some dragon but the literal founder of the world, the first dragon ever. I believe the elixir of immortality contains remnants of Nibelung's flesh, provided by Hroptatyr's power. I still stand by my theory that it probably also contains parts of Dottore's soul, but that might be necessary for another reason than keeping Pantalone alive. It might be the connection the elixir requires in order to be bound to the source (Hroptatyr, as the one who initiated the deal and holds the dragon's power, and Dottore so that he can be retrieved after his lovely time in purgatory).Ā
Why does the elixir not work on Dottore but it does on Pantalone? As Lone's post (the user I mentioned above, not Feofan) pointed out, Pantalone displays some striking resemblance to corrupted!Nibelung's design. The black scales, the wings, the purple. The thing is, I don't think Pantalone is a dragon himself. How about a ... type of angel? Not a classic angel like Nicole either, but perhaps something in between? A fallen angel? Nibelung's arc angel's legacy??? Hmm ... There must be a reason his body is able to digest Nibelung's remains without getting corrupted, while they didn't work on Dottore at all. Also, it is still a mystery to me how an angel turned into a dragon, since, as far as I know, angels were created by Phanes and dragons by Nibelung. This trio might actually be (unintentionally) working on bridging the gap between the two rulers of Teyvat.
By the way, interesting detail: I believe the scene in their animated short where they speak of the perfect partnership offering itself and shaking hands was less about just their partnership with one another, but actually theirs with Hroptatyr. A swarm of ravens flew across the screen too ... *Ved voice* It's funny, isn't it?
I don't know what exactly Hroptatyr might be planning with his two birbs, but I do think this collaboration will be important in the future, and part of why and how Zandik will return and Feofan will live. Dottore's story (and frankly Lohen's as well) feel like a gentle introduction into Genshin's morally grey potential, a soft-launch for characters like Hroptatyr. What do you think?~~
Decarabian as a character always interested me. Itās more so he never once seemed to be doing anything out of malice. For instance when Mondstate was surrounded by winds storms he did it not for malice was it to keep his people save from Boreas blizzard but not to fight Boreas.
Even he himself who loved his nation and thought everyone loved him as much as he loves them. Actually an interesting thing to note his lover, Amos noted that he did not love her the same way she loved him. Which just raises question how he was towards the people of Mondstate. Like as a whole. Before Boreas, they thought he was a tyrant but was that different from how he acted before hand?
From the information weāre given it truly felt like he was under a delusion or was so out of touch with humanity that he couldnāt understand human feelings as a whole. Which begs the question what was he? He seems different from any god in Mondstate. As much as other gods struggle with understanding mortals it truly seems like he cannot comprehend the concept of mortal love to his love which again begs the question of what is he?
And honestly he acts like HP, banning things that go against the āstructureā of this world they created. For Decarabian it was Mondstate, they micromanaged everything in their collective territory and though got rid of a problem, abyss for HP, blizzard in Mondstate they both ended up causing more harm than good from these actions. Even him torturing and killing other was an act of love towards his people which again doesnāt that sound slightly similar to HP.
We donāt know anything about Decarabian past but Iād like to believe they have some connections to HP with how similarly they act/Decarabian demeanor as a whole. Just give me some more lore about him please hoyo
