i stopped watching the pilot a few weeks ago bc there was quite a bit of (graphic) violence in it & i wanted to check in with someone who knows more about the show. is that one of it’s themes or does it subside after 1x01?

i understand that the historical period is marked by violent situations, but tom fontana has a very graphic narrative, especially towards women imo... i found myself asking several times during the episodes if the scenes were really necessary!
it's a great series, it brought me awesome moments, especially to feed my hunger for the borgia family, but there are scenes that are difficult to watch! and may negatively affect some viewers...

Yes, it's a mini series, 3 episodes only and I absolutely loved it! 🥰 The story and characters are great, the actors who play Frankie and Bobby have really good chemistry, it made me wish it was an ongoing show instead. I definitely recommend, especially if historical crime drama is something you enjoy!
