“Oh, come on! She damaged you and took your leg off! She almost killed ME on the road! He got slapped! What next?”

Vanna gestured to Synapse and he slightly flinched.

“Does it matter…?”

Sage was starting to falter in her attempts.

“It does matter! Friends don’t kill each other!”

Char felt hurt; Ehecatl was right about everything, they don’t see her as a friend.

“Nor do friends back talk about each other!”

Sage was trying, even if she was losing a little of her temper in the process.

“Calm down little one…”

Xand had to try and cool Sage down slightly.

Sage looked to Xand as he shook his head.

“There is no point in convincing what is already set…”

Sage stammered a little before slumping back against a seat.

“This isn’t right…”

Synapse took his glasses off and cleaned them with the bottom of his shirt.

“Besides… She’s getting injured easily now…”

Char couldn’t take it anymore, she had to decide between confronting or retreating.

“So, what do we do now?”

Lumi spoke up for a change to which Char decided this was the best time to confront.

“You can start by being damn honest with me…”

Everyone flinched and looked as Char stood by the doorway, staring daggers at them.

“C-Char! When did you get up?”

Vanna spoke up to which Char gave her a death glare.

“Enough to know the truth you all think about me… Why am I not surprised?”

Everyone sat in silence, most looking away from Char apart from Sage, Aros and Guun.

“So… are you going to come clean?”

No one responded for the first few minutes; eventually Sage spoke up quietly.

“I tried to show them you’re good…”

Char glared at Sage slightly before giving her a blank stare.

“I overheard…”

Sage shuffled a little uncomfortable in her seat, Synapse placed his glasses back on and adjusted them.

“So, you overheard everything said?”

Char shot a glare at Synapse which made him flinch.

“Yes DOCTOR… I heard EVERYTHING”

Char sassed Synapse before grumbling.

“No need to be rude…”

Synapse was losing a little bit of his composure about the situation.

“Rude? Me rude? Ok I’m SORRY, maybe you should teach this baby or little MUTT how to be obedient huh? Because as you said… Taking care of me is like a baby or dog… Am I not correct?”

Sinapse averted his gaze as Synapse rubbed his face in frustration.
