Char shrunk back a little as Ehecatl roared at her, claws out and ready to the sides to attack.
âIf I have to fight to prove it then so be it!â
Char would have taken a defensive stance; Inina squeaked and fluttered in between them.
âYou shouldnât be fighting! Stop it!â
Ehecatl gave a straight face and huffed.
âIâll let you off now⌠Get up and gone before I rip you apart!â
Inina looked at Ehecatl then at Char.
âJust wake up and catch up with them, talk to themâ
Char looked to Inina; sighing in defeat then nodding.
âFine⌠But Iâll prove you wrong!â
Ehecatl stuck her tongue out as Inina began to shine.
Inina shone bright enough to force Char out of her sleep; sitting up and rubbing her eyes sleepily.
Char looked around and noticed she wasnât familiar with the environment, also the fact she was alone.
âWhere am I? Where is everyone?â
Char noticed her wounds bandaged up and just pondered in confusion.
Char would have questioned more but heard some voices further down the house.
Char slowly got up with what energy she had and slowly walked to where the sounds were.
âWhat the heck did you mean last night huh?â
Char recognised Sageâs voice and made her way closer.
âAbout just the doctor patient thing? Yes, I said itâŚâ
Char froze and recognised that voice all too well; and that sentence send a shock up her spine.
Char crept close to eavesdrop on the conversation.
âSeriously? Is that ALL you think?â
Char managed to hide herself against the wall to listen without having to look.
âMaybe it is, what is the problem?â
Char refused to look, but she knew that voice and it made her insides hurt.
âI thought youâd be friends already I meanâŚHasnât she been through enough?â
Char overheard Sage and would have smiled if this situation didnât hurt her so.
âI agreeâŚarenât you being a little harsh?â
Char heard a voice that was very new to her, she wanted to peek but didnât want to get caught.
âMaybe a little⌠But this is just too stressfulâŚâ
Synapse on the other side was groaning slightly, everyone was looking at him.
âYou think itâs stressful for you? What about for her?â
Sage was still defending Charâs position even if some didnât agree.
âTrying to care of her is like taking care of a dog or babyâŚâ
Vanna spoke out and Char recognised it, even more wounded by their chatter.
âThatâs uncalled-for VannaâŚâ
