Sick and fucking tired of the "Claudia is the only character who did nothing wrong!!" Sentiment a lot of the fandom holds. I'm really hoping this episode gets some of y'all to wake the fuck up.
No one, and I mean *no one* in this show is a good person, and that's part of the appeal. They are all products of the horrible environments they're raised and living in.
Claudia was a child when she was made, and it's confirmed that she would have kept the emotional volatility even if she lived to be centuries old.
She was a serial killer who kept body parts. She chopped off parts of people as souvenirs. She wrote down their last words as keep sakes.
She asked the people she viewed as family to have sex with her (obvi all the vampire relationships between maker/made are incest but that's a whole nother post about vampire biology)
She plotted the murder of Lestat, and then poisoned multiple people in order to accomplish it. She wrote his last words in his own blood.
We now know she purposely drove Louis and Lestat apart, and that Lestat was her favorite, making her attempt to murder him even worse.
Obviously I don't think you should push human morals onto vampires, but if you do, then push them on Claudia too.
Yours,
Daniel Malloy
