Ingredients: 2 salmon fillets. 1 tablespoon olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 lemon, sliced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons butter. Fresh herbs such as thyme or parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Pat dry the salmon fillets with paper towels. Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown. Flip the salmon fillets and add minced garlic to the skillet. Squeeze lemon juice over the salmon and add lemon slices to the skillet. Add butter to the skillet and baste the salmon with the melted butter for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
