There’s only Quanism, it both of its good (?) and bad (?) aspects.

I do remember that. I know I know that because I often pity her closed mind and stunted emotions. But it gets harder to get along with her or even want to be around her when all she is is nasty.

We went to support her doing a triathlon for her fiftieth birthday and in the same breath that she thanked me in, she informed me that when the house sells (or we lose it because she’s thinking she doesn’t want to pay her part of the mortgage anymore unless we meet her outrageous demands) and I need to move in with her or my (somehow) worse grandparents while my dad finds a place, I am not allowed to keep my dogs. I’d have to get rid of them. AND I’d have to pay her 500 a month in rent (bear in mind that I barely make that at my weekend only parttime job).

I told her that wouldn’t work for me because, at the very least, I couldn’t give up my dogs.

“Then you can be homeless for those stupid animals.”

At first, I was shocked, but then the panic really set in when I realized that I really wouldn’t have anywhere to go when this was over. And her response to this was to tell me to stop blubbering and then to yell at me for not putting oil and salt in the water we were going to boil pasta in.

Since this breakdown though, I talked myself into calming down by telling myself that though my friends are afraid of talking about real problems, they would never let me be homeless and the dogs would get by, even if they had to be tied up outside somebody’s house most of the time. And then my dad’s girlfriend informed me that she would take me in as well as my dad and we’d make it work.

Oh, and as an addition to the “Yuri got a pass” thing, he refers to a deal here!

Yuri, a random nobody (well a student) was trusted by Rhea (who never trusts anyone) to spy on someone she saw as her own child (Aelfie), after Yuri killed Rhea's soldiers?

IDK how it happened, but maybe Rhea had doubts about Aelfie since the beginning, then when the "incident" happened and suddenly he tried to vouch for Yuri, she must have grown even more suspicious. Did Rhea also discover Aelfie arranged the "incident" that led Yuri to the Abyss? I'd have wanted to know more about it (maybe seteth knew something too?) but the game didn't pursue more.

Apparently, Yuri had been working "since the beginning" with Rhea, so their partnership predated Aelfie's.

OTOH, thanks anon, I never thought to look at this chapter's OG script, but damn if somethings are really different from the lolcalised one.

First of all, Umbral Beast is a tidied up name, just like Immaculate One. They follow the same naming conventions, the IO in jp is the "white thing", while the Umbral Beast is the "red beast"

To this day I still don't really have a grasp on what happened, was Aelfie the one who said Yuri must be forgiven and thrown in the Abyss, and Rhea found it sus so she made a deal with Yuri - or Rhea herself found the situation shady and made a deal with him without even needing Aelfie to conveniently ask to send him to the Abyss?

 “I’m glad you like it.” He hummed, moving to rest his hands to Ardyn’s shoulders and holding them there so as they both had to look in the mirror together. “Mmm. Handsome~”

Ardyn’s spine tingled when he felt the claws glide along his cheek and jaw. He did so love the feeling of danger, it was a joy to court someone so deadly.

He leaned against the Sun, only have looking at himself in the mirror.

She’s wonderful, and her trading card game (the old one) shows that she’s a middle-aged woman over 40. Cornelia seems to be ageless in comparison.

Niime is the only playable old woman we had, iirc.

I think it’s most likely tied to the fact that we don’t have boss 1 female brigand bandit, we don’t see a lot of random women bosses with faces.

Balo wasn’t exactly sure what to expect when she saw Leo this time, the last time they were face to face still in the back of her mind as she quickly rushed down to the vending machine to grab everything she remembered Leo liking. A small smile of satisfaction that there was indeed gummy bears in this machine. Maybe they weren’t as good as gummy worms, but she was going to take what she could get on this rapid snack run in an attempt to get snacks for this studying session before he arrived.

Not that she succeeded of course, but the thought was there.  “I didn’t have any snacks in my room, so I ran to grab some fast.” She explains the armful of junk food to him with flushed cheeks, “mind letting us in? It’s unlocked.” She’d probably need to apologize to Maddie for leaving the door to their common space unlocked if the news reached her, but it was only a quick trip for snacks.

A quick attempt to make sure she’d have things she knew her friend would like while they studied.

“Is there any rides you really want to prioritize?” Ches asks Bobbie as they walk, a park map tucked in the front pocket of her shorts as the two explore the park. “Because I get free upgrades on The Flash passes and line skips with my membership, so if there’s anything you really want to go on - I ought to use that $16 a month I’m paying.” Sure, a key factor in that decision was Ches’s love of Fright Nights and the desire to go multiple times but she might as well use the other benefits too. Especially if she was in the park with other people, it didn’t hurt at least.

Sure, she didn’t spend a crazy amount of time with Bobbie at school but Ches was really looking on the bright side here, her partner in the assigned buddy system seemed pretty nice so far. “Of course, if you’d rather not plan I get that too. You never know if someone is a planner or impulsive until you’re in the park.”

Ches preferred just going herself personally, but she didn’t want to make Bobbie uncomfortable either.
