I like Quan due to him being morally complex, he is a man who is noble to his friends and family, but a terrible King who supports his country's cruel regime against Thracia. The closest we'd ever get to that now is Chrom, whose at best foolish and at worst, inhumane, abandonment of the Plegian civilians who wanted his help is entirely glossed by the narrative which continually presents Chrom as "the second Greatest Hero of all time."

There’s no White or Black Quanism.

There’s only Quanism, it both of its good (?) and bad (?) aspects.

At least FE5 has the nerve to tell us that despite the good aspects of Quanism, it was doomed to fail and Leif had to invent his own doctrine if he didn’t want to end up like Quan.

Quan's line is actually rather scary, he believes he's right and there's no leeway otherwise.

Leif's line is pretty telling of his ignorance. Your dad's brand of peace isn't what anyone really wanted, neither by your own allies (Alster, Conote, Manster) or the very people you want to unify (Thracia).

Quan would remain indifferent to the overall situation of Thracia. Or worse, he comes into Thracia with the promise of “opportunity” which creates a monopoly on the people forced to contribute to a system that is essentially offers nothing back.

I believe I stole the word “Quanism” from @randomnameless. I tried looking for it on Random’s blog but I can’t find it. But basically the ideal of “Quanism” is the political ideology of Quan. - Continue to ignore (or remain indifferent) to the plight of the Thracian peoples. Who cares! They’re just hyenas.- Questionable military decisionsThat’s about it. Quanism isn’t really defined, I just use it to refer to anything Quan did or would do.
