Her body was screaming at her to wake up, to remain awake and alert, but her eyelids felt so heavy. As she bit back the nausea, she took a gulp and squinted into the sullen darkness surrounding her. She had expected a dungeon, or perhaps a clinically and meticulously cleaned durasteel cell - similar to the citadel on Coruscant that had held her for so long. There, she’d spent most of her time trapped behind a red tinted ray shield, meditating to preserve energy and make time fly. It still seemed like an eternity had passed, her daily routine only broken by the three less than stellar, tasteless rations she was forced to consume to stay alive. Still, she’d become fragile and frail, weak and disoriented from lack of nutrition and exercise. She hadn’t seen daylight since the day she was first brought before the Republic court, the image of Ahsoka’s disappointed face etched before her mind’s eye.
