Huacatay is a marigold that stands taller than me and is the ‘black mint’ of black mint paste, which is the green sauce in the Peruvian potato dish called ‘ocopa’. The leaf is very fragrant and flavorful. If you know people in the Philly area who would like this fresh herb, please let them know I have it available. Someone contacted me this week because he's been looking for fresh huacatay for months and he saw my blog post from last year.
