dean pushes past him out of the room, and after about five minutes of stunned silence, sam thinks to himself well, i guess that explains why the strip club didnāt work last time.

Sometimes I think we Oblivious Sam folks are too mean to Sam.
And then I remember some of the things that actually came out of his mouth about his perception of how they grew up and I think we're not mean enough.
Not just how they grew up but how he saw Dean' role in it. Sometimes I have to sit down and wonder if he's oblivious or just insensitive because he just doesn't seem to realise or care that Dean was there too.
As much as I love Dean and Cas Not Talking About It after rescuing Castiel from the empty, imagine how much funnier it would be if when Cas is saved from the empty and the first time he and Dean meet again they just start making out like craaazyyy
Butāļø now add in oblivious Sam into the mix who somehow knew nothing about those two being into each other!

A quirk of being a Winchester was that sometimes, grief didnāt always have to be a permanent feeling, Sam thought.
There stood Cas. The corner of his lips were curled up as usual, his trench coat in a pristine condition and his hair was still all askew. It was if like the past weeks didnāt happen at all
He could see his brother getting teary-eyed and his lips becoming wobbly. Anyone could tell that the instant Jack finished hugging Cas he would try and run into his arms. Dean was a sap whether he liked it or not.
No one would blame him though, Cas wasāis Dean's best friend in the whole world and he just got back from death for heavenās sake!
Sam sometimes envied that. Cas obviously was also his best friend too, but what Dean and him had together was definitely different.
And of course, Sam was right, as soon as Jack returned to Samās side again, Dean ambushed Cas immediatelyāhugging him within an inch of his life.
Sam was shaking with happiness, how could he not?
It moved him seeing his brother so happy again, saying the last days have been rough on him would be a massive understatement.
Cas was Deanās bestest friend in the whole wide world and every time they thought he was gone for good it had messed Deanās head up to no end.
Dean even called Cas a brother, and if you know Dean Winchester as well as Sam does, those are not empty words. Cas was, is and will always be family.
Seeing as they still didn't pull apart, Sam kind of hovered over them for a second. He's the one next in line for a much needed angel hug and Jack probably wants another one after him.
Only it's taking a little while.

Finally, Dean is pulling away, and now Sam could go to Cas and tell him how much everyone missed him and- wait Deanās diving in again, he's-
Oh. Samās eyebrows rised involuntarily.
Dean is actively kissing Cas. The angel of the Lord(-ish, now that Jack brought him back) Castiel. Like, actual mouth on mouth kissing.
And thatās- well that'sā¦ Sam doesnāt know what. He's a littleā¦ puzzled at the moment.
Does that- Is Sam supposed to do that next? Is that like another thing he didnāt know friends normally do? Give each other pecks on the mouth? Europeans did that, didn't they?
He internally groaned. This is just like that time Dean told him it was normal for him and Cas to change clothes in the same room since theyāre friends.
Sam doubted that but how could he even argue? He never really had a proper best friendānot unless you count the imaginary ones. How is he supposed to know?
Cas and Dean had those things, like spending an ungodly amount of time watching cult movies, fixing their ties for the other even though it wasn't necessary and stuff like that that Sam knew to be buddies being buddies. But is this one of those things?
Welp Sam didnāt want to kiss Cas. Not particularly.
Of course no offense directed to Cas, itās just thatā¦ maybe that was a little too much.
He turned his head to see Jack, who simply was looking down, smiling and fiddling with the end of his jacket.
He looked at his brother again and-
Full on make out session in progress. No signs of stopping. Cas seemingly wanted to know whatās in Deanās throat with his tongue.
Dean's one hell of a friend then, he thinks. Wait.
Oh.

And if that wasnāt confirmation enough that this was not, in fact a Buddy Thing, seeing Cas grab Dean's ass sure did it for him. Confimed one hundred percent that that's not what best friends normally do! Noted.
reboot scenario where the camera stays frustratingly fixed on oblivious sam's pov during moments where destiel are clearly being romantic and about to kiss and we see them lean in but then sam walks out of the room to go do something and since *he* misses it so do we. but we all Know it's happening. like i cannot make it clear enough that it's literally so so obvious they're together at this point but sam just keeps missing Key Moments. also hilarious if midam reunite and we see jake abel make out with himself in high definition. they actually blow half the reboot budget just to make it look ultra-realistic.

Yeah yeah Sam being tired of Dean & Cas dancing around each other is one thing. but. How about Sam not knowing jack shit. āhaha dean is so weird around cas. if you didnāt know him you might think he was gay. isnāt that funny? imagine thinking my brother could be gay.ā So much of what he believes about Deanās personality is either what Dean has told him or what heās assumed based on the way Dean presents, so I kind of donāt think he would put two and two together on his own. Sam literally needed the widower arc (and Dean's mood swing at the end of it) to happen to start thinking that maybe it's better for Dean if Cas doesn't die š This guy doesn't see anything.

That's a difficult subject for me since I'm repulsive and never kissed anyone(I knowwwww I'm 18 already and wtf, but I don't even know what and who I like for some reason šššš), but I do have some basic thoughts.
I think sometimes Dean will come back from a hunt and see That Sammy is apparently asleep.
He'll immediately make sure he's well covered, as well as gently readjust his body to make sure his pose doesn't get even worse (cause if Sammy doesn't care then Dean has to do all the caring), and then he gives him a small long kiss on the forehead, might sing him a lullaby too to make for good dreams.
Also, I think that when Sam was young, and at school and all, he was crushed on by about everybody, and I think he attracted a ton of rapists and stalkers and just mean people.
I think Dean would also kinda stalk him at times to make sure Sam is ok, and if some monster of a person tries to get with Sam, persistent even after getting a no, Dean will get out there and kiss Sam(on the mouth, a claiming yet loving and gentle kiss), Sam would kiss back too, used to this by now, and they'll act as boyfriends to prove that Sam is taken.
Of course if the people later persist again, Dean will hurt them. They don't deserve Sammy.
