I love that Dean is never presented as especially powerful or strong. He started torturing souls in hell because he couldn't take the pain anymore and he was (as Dark!Kaya and himself put it:) too weak to fight Michael off. And this is not a bad thing at all. It is, imo, the opposite; it is very human and very relatable.

He's just a dude that kinda slips into situations because he loves too much.

Thinking about Sam loudly commenting on age-gap relationship as cradle robbing (the hypocrite has a thing with Rowena <3) and Cas being deeply offended because he's sure it's a personal dig against him about Dean. (It's not. Sam doesn't know they're together.) Anyway, Dean rushes in to comfort Cas "No, no, no, Sunshine. He doesn't mean you."

Sam thinks they're being their usual weird friends and goes 🙄 because why is his brother always so protective and careful of Cas when Cas casually rips him with words every two days or so?

On one hand, Sam would have deserved to snap at Cas for breaking the wall in his head, if only once.

On the other hand, I know if Dean was around to hear it, Cas would have gone 🥺💔 and Dean would have been sooooooo offended on Cas' behalf and would have rushed in to explain how he's the best person on Earth and what kind of monster can blame him for anything?

That's how Sam is invited by Jesse and Aaron to join their League against THAT Angel (they refuse to use his name), though kids usually avoid Sam like the Plague.

#What I like most about this post is that it somehow makes Sam a child #Like yeah. Sam deserved to have a crack at Cas for the mind break #he also deserved to have a crack at cas for letting Lucifer out of his cage #(and then not telling anyone so a dangerous psycho was out in the world but no one knew)#But then he gets to join in a kids club (and we know how Sam gets if you don’t let him play with the adults)

The thing is that Sam/Ruby is such a beautiful example of a toxic, abusive relationship but it gets ignored because of the "demon blood"

She manipulates him the entire time. She isolates him from his friends and family and makes him dependent on her. Then she reinforces the isolation every time he starts moving away from her by saying all these horrible things to him about how if he lets himself be controlled by someone (Dean) he's weak for doing so and that only by staying with her can he make himself strong and all the while she is undermining him.

If we focused less on the "drug addict" aspect of Sam's S4 storyline and more on the "he was the victim of domestic abuse" I think more people would be sympathetic to that arc.

(That being said, Sam absolutely killed human people in his pursuit of his blood addiction and he should have to take responsibility for those actions even though he was manipulated into starting down that path)
