Along with the nutty flavor of brown butter, the richness of sharp cheddar cheese, and the light bitterness of beer, this Brown Butter Grilled Beer Cheese Sandwich is a tasty treat. This dish is great for a cozy meal or a hearty snack.
Ingredients: 8 slices of bread. 8 slices of sharp cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup of beer. 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Put the beer in a small saucepan and heat it over medium-low heat until it's about 1/4 cup. Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a different saucepan. For about 5 minutes, keep cooking until the butter turns golden brown and smells nutty. Spread mustard on one side of every piece of bread. Put a slice of cheddar cheese between each piece of bread. Pour the beer that has been boiled down over the cheese slices. To make a sandwich, put another slice of bread on top. Use the browned butter to cover the outside of the sandwiches. Set the pan on medium heat and add the sandwiches. About 3 to 4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts. Make diagonal cuts in the sandwiches and serve them hot.
