#bulletjournal woes, I'm going to be starting over again, because #gelpens are beautiful but obnoxious. Or at the very least very inconsistent. Some (pastels, metallic and plain) are mostly fine if you are very careful to not smudge, glittery ones are bleeding, smudgy messes that get everywhere. So I'm switching to fineliners, only using gels for accents. Soon I'll be ordering a big selection of colors and getting a new journal. For now this one is good for practice and plotting ideas, but until the new stuff arrives I'm not going to be posting a ton of #bujo stuff. Fun fact, did you know you can use gel pens to make plain felt bindis sparkly? Having one of those "oh F-it grilled cheese for all" days in the kitchen. Bought cucumber instead of zucchini. Burnt the onions trying to get the cucumber to cook since it was cut and I didn't want to waste it. Then lost half my tofu by forgetting to spray the pan. Still tastes okay...but ugh. #notasplanned #tastesokay #vegetarian

Well, day one of my hardcore training journey wasn't as hardcore as I planned. Kids don't go back to school til tomorrow so I decided to sleep in and get super rested. What a mistake. It put me behind for the rest of the day. Was almost late getting Noah to Bball practice before heading to my noon kickboxing class. Then it was straight to the salon for a much needed cut/color. Got home and realized I hadn't eaten all day! So, I broke down and snacked on junk before making an on-the-fly dinner which took about 10 minutes. Then I was running off to Muay Thai to help with the kids class before the adult class. There we did what we call Spartan night. You can imagine what that means. It was the actual hardcore part of my day. I didn’t start the year how I wanted. I went to church to please my parents to celebrate the new year. (If there’s anything you shouldn’t do to anyone kids, spouse, etc. it’s force them to practice something they want to find on their own [i.e. religion].) I had to work the night before and first thing at 7 am New Year’s Day. And instead of resting I took care of my god daughter. I want to be selfish this year because no one seems to take what I want into consideration, but I started the year making money and doing what I do best. I’m there for people that have my back, and to someone that really needed it. To have someone let me know how much they appreciate me on the first of the year is such a marvelous start to 2017 and I hope I continue helping people out of the goodness of my heart... First day of 2017 is in the books as a good one and I’m ready to make the remaining 364 days count as well.

not all days go as planned. Using mozambiquan matatu #chapas, riding on the back of trucks through dusty roads, being dropped far away from where I wanted to go, people trying to take advantage in the middle of hot burning nowhere, hiding money in the bra to have a back up just in case. But then meeting a blue vitz driver in the hot middle of nowhere, swimming in the warm blue water, drinking cold water and a matatu full of ppl arguing with the police to accept my ID card as proof of identity and to give mercy to the young chap who forgot his card.
