with things like the Hopkinsville Goblins and Mothman likely simply being misidentified owls, I'm choosing to believe every cryptid is just an owl. Bigfoot? Big owl. The Kraken? Wet owl. Drop Bears? It was owls all along.
look at that Fresno Nightcrawler go, baby.
Flatwoods Monster. Grays. It's owls the whole way down. Area 51 is just an owl sanctuary.
Loch Ness monster? Big wet owl.
ill be damned
This is a historical trend going back to ANCIENT MESOPOTAMIA. The Mesopotamians had a type of malicious night spirit called the Lilitu (it shows up in some of the Fragments of Gilgamesh). The word was adopted into Hebrew, and appears as a name for the Screech Owl.
LILITH IS ALSO AN OWL
In the Roman period there was a blood sucking nocturnal monster called the Strix. They were sometimes described as humans transformed into these life draining monsters.
VAMPIRES ARE ALSO OWLS!
It's owls all the way down!
We should fix this and start saying "stupible"

Here is the tutorial, I don’t get paid doing this and I’m not an expert at this so please don’t think I can answer everything(ask others for help or look up "flying bird mobile" for other tutorials online).
I hope this explains everything enough.
The measurements for mine came out to 15 1/2 inches on the body from tail to beak tip ans the wings 13 inches long(you can make the wings longer if needed)
Please use the comment section below to ask and someone who has done this or understands the mechanics better can answer.
Aside from that I wish you luck and I hope you have fun.

I am debating a new pen. A Platinum Preppy EF (and maybe a medium too) in my fountain pens I pretty much only use Platinum Carbon Black (the only exception is my hooded Writech that I use for sketching specifically because its ink cartridges are very fluid when they get wet and I use a water wash to do shading by lifting the ink) because it is waterproof and BLACK. I love the ink, but it is a pain in the ass and needs so much maintenance. And honestly I just suck at filling converters, and I hate cleaning them.
But Platinum makes surprisingly affordable cartridges of my beloved Carbon Black, and supposedly their Preppy pens 'slip and seal' lids that will keep the ink from drying out 'even after a year' All my other pens dry out if I don't use them at least once a day because Carbon Black is just like that, it is such a fussy ink. I want to try some other waterproof drawing inks, really want a gray for sketching, or I dunno, use any of my other inks in my other pens.
I mean, I like my ef Kakuno...mostly...compared to my other ef pens it is so scratchy and only really good if I am using it on smooth paper, I cannot use it on watercolor paper unless it is hot press.
Update, got a Preppy EF, F, and M and they are so much better than anything else I have used. Even with my more textured watercolor paper they just glide, the EF is roughly the same thickness as an 01 micron, my Kakuna EF was more like an 005 Micron and I like a little more meat on my linework. I did a real sloppy comparison on some very textured cold press and then did the linework for my current piece I am working on and I am thrilled.
No IDs, but these tags got me in a huff:
So ok look. The point is not the flared leg by itself. These cannot be yoga pants. These are, and you have to understand this if you are too young to have worn them, BLUE JEANS. And this was the last years before all jeans were 70% spandex.
They were denim, and they weren't bell bottoms. They hung loose from the knee in a way that would make a wizard envious. We all walked around like we were wearing hakama. And they dragged on the ground. That was important. Ragged cuffs. If your jeans weren't so long that they had ratty cuffs, they were embarrassingly short.
And the thing about denim is that it's a twill weave and it's cotton. So not only does it hold a lot of water, it wicks. Walking around in these suckers on a wet day could get you wet to the knees even if you never stepped in a puddle.
Then you'd go inside and take off your shoes and try to avoid letting your freezing, wet, filthy pant legs touch your skin.
Yoga pants. Hmf.
people in cold climates would have a tide line of white marks around their knees (if they were normal height) in the winter.
From wicking up road salt.
The visceral memory of that time is something that never leaves you. Everyone's jeans were many inches higher in the back than the front because you kept stepping on the hem and ripping it off. Your lower legs were so very cold. Every new pair of jeans literally enveloped your entire foot, they were so so long re: leg-to-waist ratio. Walking on a rainy day was a legitimate workout. You have no idea.

i felt like these tags really added to the experience, thanks @cynderxdustypaws for your knowledge
This is one of the most powerful images I have ever seen, and I will reblog it every single time because every single time it brings tears to my eyes.
Tao ended up having very agressive cancer and had to be put down. I got to say goodbye and then she died in my arms. I had her for so long, she was nineteen years old and we went through so much together. I'm glad I was able to move into my home at the end of her life so she got peace and quiet and I can bury her in my yard and keep a little bit of her always close. Goodbye sweet heart cat.
My ancient cat was having some issues, bad tooth I think, and had a vet appointment on Tuesday, but she stopped eating and seems to be falling apart. As soon as husbando got off work he rushed her off to the emergency vet, it has been a rough day and is probably going to be a rough night.

Help Me Come Up With A Use For This
I bought one of these when I first moved and guess what, almost a year later I have not worn a single piece of jewelry stored in there. Because if it goes in the cabinet it is gone forever from my brain (thanks auDHD)
But I like the cabinet and want to use it since I bought the damn thing, but not for jewelry. So help me come up with a plan for it, how do I modify it to make it useful for storing something else?
Shout out to that time I did a 1.5mg edible because I was hoping it would help with pain and my weird body caused me to green out severely, lose track of time (like as a concept) hallucinate that the walls were melting, and just absolutely lose my damn mind and Ben kept me tethered to reality by reading me random factoids about Pitbull. Occasionally one of those factoids just floats back into my head from nowhere and I crack up laughing. Thank you Mr. 305.
imo the term "walkable" in "walkable cities" should be understood to mean "wheelchair accessible" as well, not just literally "possible to walk in". the act of walking in a city doesn't automatically make it walkable

I went silly with the Baltimore Oriole, giving him an orange slice sun and a grape jelly sky, celebrating the food the gorge on at my feeders.
