should we tell them that we’ll never be normal? no, it might scare them

I post about it a lot on here but one of my special interests is What Is Normal and you can often quantify normalcy for things like "are people shaped a certain way very often" or "do people like things" and I would love to either teach or take a college class specifically about What Is Normal vs What Everyone Thinks Is Normal because there are so many examples. a lot of autistics do this, but my reaction to being told I was weird all the time was to become extremely interested in finding out absolutely for sure what was actually normal vs what people were telling me was normal. it's a really interesting subject and always surprising, down to defining the term "normal"
