*There are also these important things about Papa’s speech:

1) it does sound byler coded, which stresses that Nina-Nintendo don’t work for byler just in this one specific scene, but actually was foreshadowed by that Papa’s story, which proves the connection

2) apparently, Papa lied about the ending; I don’t have a separate post on that exactly aside from the notes attached, but as you see, it definitely IS extremely crucial for byler

so, very briefly the reason I was freaking out is:

Nintendo = Nina = byler happy ending
