Seungmin thought he’d impress you with his skills. Felix, himself and Jeongin had spent months trying to improve his bowling skills. And in all honesty, he wasn’t that bad. But you weren’t impressed by his bowling proficiency. You were impressed that he remembered that you liked this place. It was a little arcade with a bowling alley. It was one of the first places you and all the boys hung out. You always wanted to go back, but with a busy schedule, you never had time to. So remembering that was the best thing he could have done.

After the game was said and done, he won by a landslide. But in your mind, you were the real winner.

After bowling, you headed over to the arcade side. Unlike the bowling alley, this place was even louder with the sound of kids running around and different games making noises. You couldn’t help but contemplate what to play first. There was skiball, but that was just like bowling.  A racing game could be fun. But then you saw it, the claw machines. Not just any claw machine, though, one with plushies.

“Look, Seungmin,” you exclaimed, rushing over to the claw machine, “they’re all so cute.” You two placed your faces close to the glass. There was a plethora of plushies. Snoopy, Chopper, Pompompurin, Momonga. But one particular one caught your eye. It was a Miffy plushie in a little yellow raincoat and hat. Seungmin could see the twinkle in your eye as he saw you look at it.  

“Is that the one you like?” he asked, motioning to the Miffy. “I can try to win it for you.  No guarantees.”

“You don’t have…”

“I want to.

Seungmin grabbed onto the controller and focused. He wasn’t good at these games.  He didn’t know anyone who was good at these. But he was determined to do it for you. He moved the claw until it was right where Miffy was. He slowly lowered it and grabbed Miffy by the head. That was good. But he still had to get it over to the opening. You were on the edge of your seat waiting. As he got closer and closer, you started to get more and more hopeful. And then he did it. He made it.  He won you the plushie. “You did it,” you cheered, jumping up and down, “Thank you, Seungmin!”

He grabbed your Miffy plushie and held it out to you. You held it close. You were so happy. One of your fantasies was to have a cute boy (in this case, your lovely date) win you a plushie. With your new plushie in hand, you and Seungmin continued your day of gaming.

You and Seungmin stood outside your door. “I had a lot of fun, Seungmin,” you said, hugging your Miffy plushie to your chest. 

“I did too,” Seungmin said with a smile. Before you went into your home, you turned around and gave Seungmin a quick kiss on the cheek before entering and closing the door. You thought it was the best birthday ever. Seungmin, on the other hand, had no opinion at the moment because his mind had stopped the moment your lips touched his cheek.
