Faker would be so disappointed in himself for falling in love with someone. Where he feels that his hatred and anger gives him fuel, love feels like it's a weakness. It gives him something to lose. ESPECIALLY if you're mortal.
So, when he first finds out what he's feeling, he'll try to push you away. Issue is, he hates seeing you upset, so there's going to be a bit of a pull, too.
He has abandonment issues, he expects that you won't stick around and believes that he doesn't need you to.
If you do leave him, he will become very upset, though.
So, generally very hot and cold in the beginning of your relationship.
You would probably need to confess first. Faker is a pretty quiet guy and only communicates via voidspeak anyway, which would be difficult for a mortal to understand.
Faker wouldn't teach you voidspeak, he isn't patient enough for that.
He communicates his love mostly through body language. He's pretty tense most of the time but tends to relax more in your presence.
He may copy some of your mannerisms, but if you point it out he will deny it.
Much like a cat, he will headbutt you to express affection. It might take a bit for him to gauge how hard he can headbutt you so it wont hurt you, though.
He also has a tendency to cling onto you, grasping onto your arm or your shoulder, or - if you were a vessel - a long tail or tuft of long fur. You're truly the only one who lets him touch you. He's not really romantic with it, he doesn't have a good concept of what that might look like. His grip is strong and firm, almost desperate, all the while quietly growling - not in anger - but in a sense of possessiveness and protectiveness.
Not really romantic at all, actually. If he didn't hate him so much, he could pick up a thing or two from his dad...
Faker is a little stiff in response to physical affection at first, but over time he starts to melt into it. He's a heavy bastard, despite his base form being small mobian-sized, so prepare to get a little crushed.
Speaking of small mobain-sized, he is a few inches short of average height for a mobian. Chances are, a full-grown adult vessel would be a little taller than him. It has no affect on his ego, he KNOWS he's stronger than you, and if he really wanted to show off, he would just switch to his beast form.
If you express fear toward his beast form, he'll probably laugh at you, asking you if you recognized him. In voidspeak, of course, but you only know one creature who does that.
He likes to lay his head in your lap while in beast form, much like a dog. He will NOT accept headpats. He wants to to take him seriously, and treating him like a pet is NOT serious. Though... no-one can resist a little chin scratch...
He will let you lay on top him in his beast form, but he's a bit bony so it might not be too comfortable.
