First culinary exploration in 2018 π½π #thaifood π·: 1. Koh Moh Yang: Charcoal-grilled marinated pork with tamarind, toasted rice & shallot dip π° IDR 120K π The pork neck was bland & too dry, requested for fatty meat but got the lean parts. 2. Pad Thai: stir-fried shrimps, chicken, eggs, tomatoes, bean sprouts, spring onion with Kwetiau π°IDR 75K π The standard Pad Thai, decent taste compared to other menu we ordered. 3. Kana Moo Grob: stir-fried kailan with pork π°IDR 60K π Hate to complain but canβt help myself when they serve ruined veggies with lots of yellow & black spots π΅ ewww... totally disappointed considering the price & class of this restaurant. 4. Tom Yam Goong: traditional Thai soup with prawn, mushroom & lemongrass. π° IDR 85K π Literally we only get 1 prawn & mushrooms in the tom yum soup, thatβs it. The soup taste good but itβs not worth it. 5. Khao Niew Ma-Muang: Fresh mango on a bed of sticky rice laced with coconut cream. π° IDR 50K π They serve 2 types of sticky rice here: white & black. Overall theyβre too sweet, and itβs even worse with the black sticky rice as mango & coconut cream donβt go well with it. Key conclusions: β’ Food taste below expectations - quite a big disappointment β’ Overpriced - you can get better taste with lower cost. ββββ #foodreview #newyearlunch #lunchtime #foodie #namthaifood #thaicuisine #jakartaculinary #foodporn #foodoftheday #instanewyear #instafood #buzzfeast #sawasdee #cluelinary (at Nam Thai Kitchen and Bar)
