Hello fellow students! i have been getting a lot of asks about my bullet journal lately and I decided to make a masterpost about it so I could share all of my tips and information with you guys. I hope you will find it helpful!
What is a bullet journal?
A bullet journal is a multi-functional notebook that you can use as a planner, journal, to-do list or everything else you want to use it for and it takes only a few minutes a day. A bullet journal is completely customisable, so you can find out what system works for you. That way you can be as productive as you want to be and because you have written down your tasks that you need to do, it gives you a sense of achievement every time you tick off a box!
What do i need to start a bullet journal?
First, check out these links for some extra information: - official bujo website - great explanation
Are you still interested in starting a bullet journal? Than all you need are these supplies:
Notebook:
A notebook is the base of starting a bujo. You can use every notebook you prefer; dotted, lined, squared. Here are some common known notebooks:
-moleskine -leuchtturm1917 -Muji
Pens:
Without pens, it is impossible to write down your tasks. Once again you can use every pen you like, but here are some amazing brands:
-pilot pens -Muji -Staedler triplus fineliners -Stabilo point 88 -Zebra mildliners
washi-tape
sticky notes
ruler
glue
coloured pens
How do I start setting up my bullet journal? If you gathered all your supplies, you need to start by creating an index and a key or color-coding system. I recommend using the first or the last page as the index of your bujo, here you can keep track of the pages in your bujo. I find a key or color-coding system very useful to categorise and prioritize my tasks and events. Here are some good examples of an index, key/color-coding system:
-Index -Key -Prioritizing system
If that worked out for you, start choosing the pages you want to include in your bujo, here are some ideas:
year at a glance
habit tracker
reading list
movies or tv-shows to watch
bucket list
water tracker
washi-tape page
pen testing page

Fonts & colors
Now youâve chosen what pages you would like to use in your bullet journal, the next step is to choose in what style you want to make your bujo. Your style completely depends on what colors and fonts you use in your bujo. You could give every week or month a different color for example, or write in a different font every month. This is ofcourse your own decision, but to help you out I chose some very inspiring pictures of the use of colors and fonts in bullet journals!

Hello, everyone! My name is Peyton and I am currently in university in America as a history major, French minor. I will be graduating this December, however, I have completely changed my mind and decided I want to go to vet school instead of PhD school đ But I'm so close to the end, and I do love history, so I'm finishing my degree before going back to get a biology degree to apply for vet school. I know I'm going to need all the motivation and help I can get these next few years, trying to get into vet school, keep my grades up, applying for internships, etc. So I decided to make a studyblr!
Hey guys, just thought Iâd share some lessons Iâve learned from failing my semester.. Donât make the same mistakes like I did!
Jump right into it! If you donât know how to study something, donât hesitate and go for it anyway. Youâll learn along the way.
Progress, not perfection. Aiming for perfection will demotivate you really, really fast.Â
Do not rely on your future self aka donât procrastinate. Donât think âItâs ok to relax now, Iâll just pick up the slack later.â Youâll be setting yourself up for failure.Â
Try not to be overwhelmed by the amount of work (especially if youâre starting late). Break down your tasks, make a study timetable/checklists. Stick to it!Â
Learn to take a break instead of giving up completely. Donât go into a complete stop just because youâve hit a dead end. Not trying = No progress.Â
Never skip mock exams/quizzes/progress tests, especially if youâre afraid of making a fool of yourself because you didnât study for it. It give you an idea of the final examâs format and mental preparedness for the actual exam. Plus itâs a measure of your true understanding of the topic.
Hustle hard. Youâll sleep better at night, knowing that youâve gave in your all for the day. Giving up and turning in early will probably keep you awake because you canât stop fretting about that upcoming test.
