Be honest: would you ever want to wear Achilles’s armor?
Achilles’ armor, you say? Ah, I have heard tell of its great worth. Yet it troubles me that such splendor is his alone, while his Myrmidons march to war clad in common gear.
To my mind, a true commander must see that his men are guarded as he is. Among us Trojans, our arms are near the same for all. It would defy my honor to bear such armor myself and deny the same to those who fight at my side. Yet if he should fall upon the field, I will not hide that the armor would tempt me.
