struggling artist post… i have to make my existing funds stretch the summer which is looking to be pretty tough. the goal on my ko-fi ($500) would help support groceries for the next 3 months. every dollar helps.

This is the part that cannot wait for later in the month. Give directly if possible. Some weeks it feels like none of this matters. That feeling is rational; it is a system working exactly as intended. This week’s mutual aid roundup listed twelve requests and eleven Palestinian campaigns that need movement. Just like me, they need help. I’m unsure if I have any reasons or justifications other than I just felt like doing it, I just felt like listing them all. Maybe because they’re there, maybe because some weeks are harder than the rest, maybe because I can and don’t need any reason or justification to do something within my capacity, or maybe because this is the only thing I can do to help them. We help not because we can, or because we want to, but because we must. If you can't or won't help me, then help them.
