Rats have filled our tent, eating the few clothes we own and destroying the floor of the tent that barely protects us.

Every day we wake up to new damage, torn clothes, and belongings ruined by rodents because of the harsh conditions we are living in.

Our children are living in fear, exhaustion, and insecurity.

We have no home to protect us and no clean or safe place to turn to.

Even the simplest necessities of life have become a daily struggle for survival.

With the arrival of summer, my children are in desperate need of light summer clothes after most of their clothing was damaged by rats and the harsh conditions of displacement.

It breaks my heart to see my children deprived of the most basic needs that should be every child’s right.

We are not asking for the impossible… we only want to live with dignity and protect our children from this painful reality.

My name is Mohammed Ali, and I am writing this from a tent in Gaza where my children and I now live after losing our home and source of income because of the war.

Every day has become a struggle for survival. We suffer from lack of food, clean water, electricity, and medicine. At night, my children sleep in fear inside a small tent surrounded by insects and rats. Sometimes I stay awake just watching them and wondering how I can protect them in conditions no child should ever live in.

What hurts me most as a father is seeing my children ask for simple things I cannot provide anymore — healthy food, medicine, clean clothes, or even a safe place to sleep.

I never imagined I would one day ask strangers for help, but Gaza has left many families with nothing except hope in kind people around the world.

We have reached a point where there is nothing left for us to rely on except this message. We are holding on as much as we can, but everything around us is slowly collapsing, and fear is taking over my young children more with each passing day.

The tent is not safe—rats, insects, and fleas come in at night. My children are terrified; they scream from fear, and sometimes they even wet themselves. What have they done to deserve living through all this suffering?

Right now, we need anyone who can stand by us.

All I need is $5,000 to buy a caravan that will save my children from the terror they are living in, so they can feel safe like other children around the world. But simply, we do not have this amount.
