Well, regarding Mary and Marlene, honestly not much. In fact, if you search through the tag on my blog, I think there are a few things there, but not much at all. As for Mulciber, Avery and Evan, there’s a bit more, and that’s also in the tags.

I feel like I’m repeating myself because I’ve mentioned this before, and I get it because it’s a question that gets pushed a lot, but really, if you want to see headcanons or dig into what I think about those more secondary characters, the best thing to do is search through the tags, because that’s where I already said everything I wanted to say at the time. And honestly, if I had more to say about them nowadays, I’d be talking about them more.

The Slytherins interest me more because I have a fic connected to that, but the others? I honestly couldn’t care less. I mean… who the hell cares about Mary McDonald? She’s an NPC. Seriously, who cares? She didn’t do anything in her life.

And Marlene McKinnon was probably much older than the Marauders anyway, probably married with children, and then her whole family got killed. And honestly, she interests me very little because I don’t think — at least in my own headcanon — that she ever really had any relationship with them outside of the Order of the Phoenix.

Severus: avoidant by nature, disguised as practicality. He grabs the bull by the horns, but mostly because he’s far too proud to let anyone see that something is affecting him too much or that he can’t handle it, even if internally he’s cycling through every possible emotional state within a single minute.

Mulciber: uses force, whatever kind, for any conflict of any kind in any situation. All bravado, chest-puffing, and the influence of a violent rich kid.

Rosier: cold and strategic mind. He usually stays calm, looks at all the options available to him, and figures out how to proceed from there. It’s rare for him to lose his nerve because most things basically bore him, so if something is actually conflictive enough, it almost feels like a challenge to him.

Avery: doesn’t understand conflict because he genuinely couldn’t care less about anything. He doesn’t give a shit, he doesn’t even realize he’s in conflict because he simply does not care.

I think it depends a bit on each character. There is not really any general consensus on who they find the biggest dickhead. Obviously Severus hates James for obvious reasons, and he hates Sirius for equally obvious reasons, but I do not think the rest of his friends share those same hatreds. For example, I cannot really imagine Evan Rosier hating them, or Wilkes, or Avery. I think they simply know that Dumbledore, who is headmaster at that point, has a very clear favouritism towards Gryffindor and especially towards Gryffindor’s golden boys, and that annoys them. But I do not think it is hatred. It is more a sense of injustice and a sense that he is a decrepit old bastard who does not really know how to manage what is supposed to be his responsibility.

That said, I do think Mulciber does not hate James Potter as much as he hates Sirius Black, partly because James comes from a family that had already drifted away from the Sacred Twenty-Eight, but also because I imagine Mulciber as someone somewhat similar to Sirius in certain ways: a very violent man, someone who has no issue voicing his opinion or asserting himself hierarchically within a conflict. He is very aware that he has power, very aware that he can use it, and very aware that even if Sirius is a Black, he can still beat the shit out of him.

Well, if you look up Mulciber in my tags, you can find this pretty easily. And you can go to my fic where he has his own POV, and I make it quite clear how I imagine him or how I like to portray his personality, the way he speaks, his thought process, etc. He’s also physically described, although like I said some time ago, if you asked me who I’d use as a reference for the mental image I have, I’d say Enzo Vogrincic.
