making a separate post for this so i can reach people.
on may 25, 2026, an unidentified transgender woman was found dead at brays bayou in houston, texas.
she has yet to be identified as of may 27th. our wider community is completely silent. the trans population in houston has dwindled, with things like the registry of us, increasing restricted access to healthcare for minors, and less legal protections by the day.
i dont have the words to begin describing the pain this brings me. in an effort to bring some awareness, and to honor her memory, i want to leave a few things at the site her body was discovered. i plan on bringing flowers, and a poster detailing the situation.
please, reblog this with comments of support and love, or reply to this post. i want to transcribe these onto the poster(s) and show that she was loved, even if we did not know her personally. she deserves dignity in her death.
love the trans women in your life before it is too late.
