sorry but discourse isn’t bigotry. having discussions about opinions you disagree with is an important part of activism. just because someone thinks a word means something different doesn’t mean they automatically are a worse person.
In the case of endogenic systems, endophobia usually goes beyond simple disagreements over terms and is actively denying people's lived experiences. Most anti-endos take a position that it's impossible to have multiple self-conscious agents in one body, and that anyone who claims they experience this must be lying. They would also lose the terminology debate, but the terminology debate isn't the real issue here.
If this ask was meant more in response to the topic of m-spec lesbians, while we're new to the topic, my understanding is that in the past, lesbian was often used to refer to any woman who wasn't straight. While a lot of more current and modern definitions define it specifically as "women who are exclusively attracted to women," this strict definition wasn't always the case. And this definition itself was a direct result of rampant bi-phobia in the lesbian community at the time, particularly by radfems and "political lesbians."
These groups pushed a very narrow definition of the word "lesbian" specifically to exclude bisexual women from the community.
And a lot of hate still runs rampant in LGBT spaces. Marking bisexual women as "not lesbian" was about denying them the resources and community provided to "real lesbians." It was always about othering a group of queer women so that they would still be acceptable targets to hate.
