Really need people in fandoms to stop being unintentionally (at worse intentionally) anti-mspec. Biphobic, panphobic, etc. Depending on the context, it can even be transphobic.
It's perfectly ok to have your own headcanons on a character's sexuality if it hasn't been **officially** (as in full on label dropped by devs or writers) confirmed. However, to say "we should ask the devs/writers to make the character only attracted to the same gender or sex" is something else. Because, not every single person who's also a fan of said character is going to have the same headcanon as you or have the same orientation that you want represented.
Wanting the source material to conform to your own beliefs, completing shutting out all others, is VERY exclusionary. You frankly lose nothing by treating the character with the *already vague* orientation as mspec in some regard objectively on paper, but then you can still have your headcanons. There is nothing wrong with being attracted to more than one gender or sex in any way, and by wanting to effectively play into exclusionism, you're implying otherwise.
Please stop treating mspec orientations as if they aren't "gay enough" to be "worth" anything.
