The fact that Mobei Jun is capable of an incredibly cool beast transformation doesn’t really sink in until a few days after the fact. Still...it puzzles him. Did he really write something like this? He should remember if he did, right?
But before he can start a furtive deep-dive into whatever animal transformation myths can be found in the palace library and treasure vaults, Mobei Jun kidnaps recruits him to help capture some monster that Shen Qingqiu Luo Binghe wants.
This retrieval mission should be a piece of cake, as simple as reaching into a bag to pluck out a handful of melon seeds, right? How bad can it be?
