In case you wondered:
Having your first period in 6 months [because perimenopause] over Christmas/New Years, while you're away from home, having to navigate family of origin dynamics when they don't understand what it's like for your burned out neurodivergent teenager (or, for that matter, your burned out self) really fucking sucks.
Bonus points for it being really fucking heavy (much heavier than usual) and having to empty my Mooncup every couple of hours and wondering if my family is noticing the large amount of toilet paper I'm getting through.
Also, cramps suck extra when a) you'd forgotten what they were like b) they're worse than usual c) they usually only last a day or so and this is three days and counting.
