The Sun Egg ☀️ & The Moon Egg 🌙
A pair of mini paintings. Both have sold already.
I’m not sure I’m done with this concept though. It started off as a trans joke that I didn’t want to make too obvious, to be honest. But I think it has a lot of potential, and I’d love to explore it again sometime and push it further. I was on a crunch for time with these, so I couldn’t implement certain ideas.
Anyway, these are somewhere out in the world now. I hope whoever has them enjoys them. 💓
the story of 4.6 billion years continues...
you might think this image is unrelated but im going to be honest and say that from cursory google searches this game has a lot in it! coming to you LIVE from ME SHORTLY
Okay so Kill the Moon (s8e7) is one of my favorite episodes bc the idea of the moon being an egg is just awesome. The problem is, I'm watching videos about the moon's formation for my science class and it's like... an egg doesn't happen like that.
I think everyone is fairly certain now that the moon was created when a Mars-sized planet (scientists in this video dubbed it "Thea") hit Earth really, really hard, in an impact that almost pulverized Earth and completely destroyed Thea. The debris from the impact, which was a mix of Earth-bits and Thea-bits, made a disc around the planet and eventually coalesced into the moon.
So if that's how the moon happened... how is it an egg????
like I said, I liked that episode, so I have a wacky theory that could explain it: what if the cool space dragon thing happened upon the moon one day and somehow swapped out our actual moon for its egg? does this make sense? probably not! but it's a fun idea.
and I'm not even gonna get into the whole issue with the silurians going underground when the moon showed up, bc they would not have survived that impact if the Earth barely did ajskskkssjs
Well that was a good episode and wait a minute… the moon looks like a hatched egg. That… seems very very bad. Dang it Doctor!
Oh also there is like a minute left in the episode which surprises me. We already formed the teams and stuff what’s left for the episode? Dorm moving highjinks?

Moon Hatching
New concept piece!
"Roger! Are you seeing this?".
What if Ruidus is an egg? The birth of a new god or maybe the rebirth of a forgotten god?
I think that's entirely possible! Reminds me a little of Lucien's "cocoon" and fascination with his rebirth as a god. "'I needed witnesses. To hear my birth cry.' And as he raises his hands, you hear the entire city scream at once. Like a collective child being born." I imagine the birth of a terrifying god that's connected to people all around the world, twisting their fates--that might look a little similar to Lucien's "ascension."
Ruidus appears meant to seal something away from the rest of Exandria, something alien and otherworldly. It's possible releasing it could recreate a deity.
“During the founding, a time when the gods still walked the face of Exandria, the world’s divine creators discovered an unidentifiable power seeping through the fabric of reality. Legends assert that the alien influence was a threat to all life on Exandria, and the gods banded together to banish it. This cancerous incursion of dark power is said to have crystallized into Ruidus..."
If there is a god in Ruidus, I think that connection would take a toll on a lot of Ruidus born. Maybe not to the extent of the Cognouza hivemind--but at least in dreams, some people born under a red moon seem to be connected. And if we've learned anything from Aeor Arc, it's that sharing your mind with others--and something as ancient and alien as a god--can be catastrophic.
but also, I am now just...very distracted by the thought of the moon just being. an egg. i just want it to hatch into a big moon chicken now
Moon eggs! These beautiful eggs are used to bring happiness. Traditions include placing the egg in a bowl of water or near a windowsill and letting it attract and resound positive energy throughout the space. They were originally found in China, forged in the Yellow River from glass that had crumbled in the 1900 earthquakes.
