The Molecular Engineering major allows students to use tools and concepts from the fundamentals of science at the nanoscale to solve complex problems. Students are introduced to invention, design, inquiry, and discovery in a cutting-edge engineering curriculum. Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics, Scientific Visualization, and Engineering Design are classes offered to students. With the addition of The Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering, UChicago has become the first university in the nation with a full school dedicated to this important field 👀
