Takes place in Boston, Massachusetts. Mostly college/high school. College: University of Massachusetts.

Jean Valjean: Ex-convict, but once he comes back from prison, he slowly makes his way to the top. He was the mayor of the city, and he adopted a little blonde girl, Cosette, and raised her as his own. When he adopted the child, he put down his position as mayor, and spent his life raising the child in the best life she could. When she was old enough to go to school, he went back to college, got a higher education, and became a teacher at the local college. He dedicates his days to the child and gives her everything that she needs and wants.

Javert: Javert works as a local cop. He knows Jean Valjean and will always hunt him down no matter what. Though he tries to be a heartless cop, he is only trying to make his parents proud. His parents were immigrants from Sudan. He has always tried to live up to their American dream and that’s why his job and hunt for Jean Valjean is so important- it is supposed to get him a better job in the police force.

Fantine: Fantine raised her child Cosette for a short time, but the time she did spend with her daughter meant the most to Cosette. She came from France, a young nineteen year old girl, who spoke little to no english and just wished to travel. She met a nice man, who offered her a free room and food at his place. He traveled around the US with her and they soon fell in love. Fantine was soon pregnant, but she was also alone. When Cosette came, she immediately went to the Thernardiers and had them watch her throughout the day while Fantine was working. She only had the nights with her daughter. Fantine started taking extra shifts at her job. She worked full time as a seamstress, and took up a part time job as a waitress at nights, where she started to learn a bit of english. As money became scarce, and she couldn’t take care of her baby, she started to look for more jobs on the side. Soon, she found jobs on the street. She sold her hair, sold some teeth, and when times were hard, she sold herself. She started to get sick on the cold street, she wished that she could help her poor baby girl, who was equally sick. That’s when she met Valjean. Valjean helped her into a hospital and made a promise to her that he’d find Cosette and take care of her. Cosette at this time was five. Through her broken english, she understood the words he said, and passed.

Thernardiers: The Thernardiers were cruel people. The two met in college. Mr. Thernardier was no stud, but he filled his future wife’s heart with kind words. The two got into a toxic relationship, filled with abuse, drugs and drinking. In their friend group, they were considered the cutest couple, however they were the worst. When Thernardier was sober he would beat Mrs. Thernardier senseless. However, she stayed. They got married, had children and opened up their own hotel. One day, when Mrs. Thernardier was expecting her second child, a young beautiful French women ran to them, begging through broken english to help her. In her arms was a beautiful blonde baby, barely a month old. Mrs. Thernardier agreed, but her husband and her were greedy,  and said that it was cost her. She charged Fantine for the nannying and put the child in the room by herself, where she would cry and starve. The Thernardiers had two children, Gavroche and Eponine. She raised the two in a perfect life and abused Cosette. When she learned of Fantine’s death, she put the young Cosette to work. One day, a strange man came to the hotel and asked for Cosette. The Thernardiers charged a lot of money, but gave Cosette up. The next couple of months, the hotel started to go down hill. Mrs. Thernardier kicked her children out to the street, and Mr. Thernardier became a con-man and a drug dealer. Mrs. Thernardier started to prostitute herself, but the two were so greedy, they always spent the money quick and were back into the situation of poverty. 

ABC: These boys all met at college in their frat house. They aren’t the basic party frat boys that just love beer pong, booze and babes. They also fight for the liberty and equality of all. These boys consist of different ethnicities and different beliefs and just a hundreds bits of differences, but these boys all came together to fight for the thing they believe in the most. All of the ABC frat house are all seniors in college, besides Enjolras and Gav, who will be juniors, Cosette, and Ep who is going to be a freshman.

Bahorel, Feuilly, Bossuet: Bahorel comes from a poor background. His parents immigrated from the DR Congo. He is the first of his family to go to college, and he is trying to get involved and have the amazing college experience that he has dreamed about since he first moved to America. He has two younger siblings, twins, age 8, that look up to Bahorel and believe he is the best thing in the world and the greatest example.

Feuilly’s family comes from Ireland. He has a thick Irish accent and has a deep love for all things Irish. He’s the guy at the frat parties that gets all the best kegs and also wins at the drinking competitions. He is a talented craftsman, especially with fans. He keeps it a secret from all the ABC in the frat house, but he loves making fans. His parents came from Ireland completely uneducated. When Feuilly was born, his parents promised to give him the best life and to help him get educated. He taught himself to read and to write and taught all his sibling(younger and older) and his parents as well.

Bossuet came from Cambodia by himself. He was seventeen when he arrived in the states and as he walked on the streets, he met Bahorel and Bossuet. They all became friends and went to college together. 

Combferre: Combferre works at the schools library. He loves reading. He studies so much and is an amazing student. His mother was left by his father and she raised Combferre by herself. She had to drop out of high school and raise Combferre, but she did it. He lived in a small apartment and had only books to help him imagine what the world was outside of Boston. He knows everything about his culture and where he came from. His grandparents came from South Africa when his mother was just a child, and passed away before she started middle school. He’s the first in his family to go to college and plans to graduate at the top of his class.

Courfeyrac: Courfeyrac is quite possibly one of the kindest of the ABC frat house. He’s already looking out for one of the newcomers- Gavroche. He studies law, just like his father. His grandparents came from Korea as the Korean War was finishing up. His parents were sweethearts since they were children, and Courferyrac has always wished for a love like theirs. He went to finest schools and was given the best education. The girls all love Courfeyrac and his beautiful, thick, black curls.

Jehan: Jehan has the dream to become a writer. He writes poetry and recites the poems at the coffee shop. He is close friends with Courfeyrac, who is his number one fan.  Jehan is also loved by many of the girls on campus. He goes to all their protests for equal rights and is a proud feminist. His face is covered and I mean COVERED in freckles.

Grantaire: Grantaire- raging alcoholic. He has thick black curls that cover his beautiful eyes. He goes along with the frat’s protests since he knows that once the protest is over, he will get a drink….or three. He teases all the boys in the frat house about all the ladies that fawn over them. However, he is the one that gets the most girls. Despite his usual drunk nature, he is a total softie. He has tattoos-loads of tattoos that crawl up and down his arms. He occasionally gives himself tattoos because he is such an amazing artist, he has sketch books filled with amazing drawings and so many paintings around his room and he’s given at least each boy in the ABC frat one tattoo. He is often called R by all the other guys in the house.

Joly: Joly goes to medical school. He is also a major germaphobe. His mother is from Thailand and his father is from Chad. He strives for being the best doctor. While all the others in the ABC frat house spend their time partying, Joly refuses to engage in such crazy behavior. Occasionally, the other boys slip some of the drinks into his water and next thing you know, he’s crazier than all the other guys.

Gavroche: Gavroche, the older of the Thernardier children. He was kicked out of his house at a young age with his little sister, Ep. He helped raise her. He became friends with Courfeyrac and the college student helped them out whenever he could. He joined the ABC frat house’s protests whenever he could. He took after his mother, with crazy curlier hair, that he would let grow out so he could have a curly man bun. He grew out a beard to every once in a while. He was a total heart throb at his high school.

Marius: Marius is a junior at college. Like Courfeyrac hangs out with Gavroche, Marius hangs out with Ep. He hangs out around the high school and considers Ep to be his best friend. He’s a total goof. On one of his protests, he runs into a beautiful blonde girl, Cosette, and immediately falls in love. Marius has a strong Latin background. His parents came from Mexico. He lives in fear that one day he may not be in America or that he may not graduate from college. 

Cosette: Cosette, a tall little blonde girl that has lots of boys drooling over her. She remembers little of her mother, but some of the memories she does have makes her believe her mother was the most amazing woman this world had ever seen. She is extremely kind to all. Her father enrolled her for an all girls academy that she just barely graduated from. She loves traveling and loves flowers and her garden. She dyes her hair crazy colors many times a year, but Jean does not believe that it will turn into any other rebellious actions. She meets Marius on the street and she immediately fell in love with him. When she isn’t in school and wearing her school uniform, she is often in blouses and dresses, or shorts. She soon will be going to the college where her father teaches and she is ecstatic because she knows Marius will be there. She knows some of the boys from the ABC frat house and has befriended most of them. She is a total feminist and loves going to protests with Jehan. She works at a flower shop and Marius often suprises her there with different bouquets of flowers each time.

Enjolras: This blonde hair gorgeous, teenage hearthrob. He’s going to be a senior and he is know the head of the ABC frat house. He starts most of the protests. He wears a lot of red and black. He keeps his curly blonde hair to a normal length just so it doesn’t get in his eyes. The day he started college he got a tattoo on his wrist that said liberty in French. He is a law student because of his father and he wishes that he could stand up to his father and tell him of his wishes to not be a law student. He wishes to travel and to photograph the world, and he’s a pretty decent photographer. He has dashing blue eyes and a sharp jaw. Despite his cold demeanor, he is a major softie. He loves cuddling and he loves the idea of romance. He finds Marius’ young friend, Eponine, very beautiful and wishes that he could talk to her. When he likes somebody, he gets very shy. He has lots of band tees and hates hates coffees. He occasionally beats Grantaire at beer pong. He barely gets any sleep, he’s a total night owl. He’s usually up all night planning revolts and protests or writing a paper thats due the next day. He’s a major sweetheart and towers over most of the ABC frat. He’s never had a girlfriend and dreams about what his first relationship will be like. He’s extremely supportive of all his frat bros. He’s the youngest of all the original ABC frat, however, he occasionally acts like the oldest of them all. He is so against Trump and everything to do with Trump. He would be a very good president. Everybody in the ABC frat house believes so but Enj doesn’t. He owns so many pairs of converse, his closet is literally filled to the brim with converse, mostly black, red, and white. He has never grown out a beard and he believes he never will. He is the youngest of all his siblings and comes from a very financially stable family. Ep often calls him Apollo.
