My primary school refused to consider that I could be autistic because "she's a girl, girls don't have autism" and I slipped under the radar in secondary school because I was "a good student" and "a pleasure to have in class" which only changed and was treated seriously after I'd had a stress induced autistic meltdown in a parent-teacher meeting in my last year of sixth form so I didn't get officially diagnosed as autistic until I'd already finished my school years. To see the show and salt side of the fandom be so blatantly ableist in this episode fucking hurt when seeing how this poorly written episode affected the rest of the show and fandom as a whole.

The show is still ableist to this day considering how they wrote Marinette getting away with breaking Sublime's prosthetics and waving it off with the Miracle Cure as if to say "see, it's not bad because she fixed the prosthetics she broke so you need to forgive her" which makes me wonder why the fuck they wrote it in if they knew how ableist they made the designated protagonist of the show.

An episode I've posted about before but haven't re-watched in full is Chat Blanc which I hated by how avoidable the events were if Marinette wasn't such a creep by ogling the room she'd already been in multiple times before! She chose to wait around which led to Adrien figuring out Ladybug = Marinette and the writers trying to blind the fandom by saying the endgame couple can't work but we still need to believe it will become canon because "vague reasoning". Marinette never bothered to ask Chat Noir what led to his akumatization so they could avoid it later or gain clues on Hawkmoth's identity but then the writers and Maripoligists couldn't use the "Marinette is traumatized by Chat Blanc, stop being so mean to the Best Protagonist Ever" excuse they've run into the ground.

Connected to Chat Blanc and possibly Timetagger, I hate how the episodes removed all possible future stakes by turning Bunnyx into Plot Ex Machina who'll show up if events don't play out "as they're supposed to" a.k.a if the heroes risk losing, so if she doesn't show up it means the heroes win. It also implies Marinette as Ladybug is still around into her adulthood which is an immediate tension killer since we know she can't lose because of the confirmed future stated back in Season 3.

I've made a post in more detail about this but I hated the episode where Marinette and Sabrina rig the temporary bathroom with recording equipment to expose Chloe and Lila, it's such a major breach of privacy and straight up illegal to record people in places where privacy is expected. I think it was Confrontation. I've seen posts about Vampigami and how Chrysalis put cameras in a bathroom to catch Marinette transform into Ladybug but I can't help but think the writers saw some backlash Confrontation created and wrote Chrysalis doing the same thing Marinette did to go "If you didn't like what Marinette did there, then you have to hate Chrysalis now because she did the same thing!"

I've also posted about my thoughts of Fury in Grendaiper and how I hated how a large chunk of the fandom excuses Zoe's behaviour with the excuse of how she's going after people who "deserve it". The writer's attempts of making her a likeable underdog vigilante who's finally standing up for herself made me despise her even more. She's not teaching her victims how they messed up and how they can fix the damage, she's tormenting people she knows can't fight back because she knows she'll get away with hurting people who she can convince herself she has moral superiority over. She judges people over minute details that she can twist into making them bad people who she can bully without a guilty conscious.

Grendaiper convinced me her sob story of "oh, back in America, I was only pretending to be a bully but I Felt Bad about it so it doesn't count, I'm a Good Person™ I promise" is a facade to cover how she'd been the worst bully possible and is feigning niceness to the Miraculous class, especially the most popular girl Marinette, to find out who's "acceptable" to bully. Look at how fast she turned on Chloe and joined in with the class hating her. Look at how severe the punishments she doled out in Grendaiper were and how she already knew how to severely torment others with such little time to plan things. I hate Zoe, and I hate how the narrative and a majority of the fandom thinks she's in the right because she targets the "correct" people.

This is a long post about my Opinions about certain episodes I can think of right now. I'm still rewatching Miraculous Ladybug but I haven't touched Seasons 4-6 yet because I know the writing will frustrate me so my notes on those episodes will hopefully come later. I began the Live Notes and Opinions series for many reasons: to remind myself why I liked the show at first, to pinpoint when it went downhill, to try to understand where the salt fandom exploded in popularity, inspiration for potential AU's, and Marinette salt fic ideas.
