I love your art so much! There's such a charm in your style and colors. How did you learn to draw children and babies so well? I try but they never quite look right. They just look like I messed up an adult face. Any tips?
hey, thank you so much!!! tbh, children are tricky and it took years of practice before i felt like i drew them okay--hopefully these tips are helpful to you!
using georgia and her much younger self as a guide: children have big heads in relation to their bodies, with their features mostly relegated to 2/3 or even 1/2 of the face, depending on the art style. babies and toddlers in particular almost always have large foreheads and big cheeks, no matter what their individual features are.
my children tend to lean more cherubic and cartoonish because i've always adored how rose o'neill, the creator of kewpie dolls, drew children and babies. great big eyes, small noses and mouths, etc.
that being said: as you can see with georgia above, her younger self still has fuller lips and a wider nose, they're just small in proportion to the rest of her head, if that makes sense!
i would avoid any harsh lines/super definition on the face. i usually add a soft touch of shading or a few very, very light lines, usually to show the fullness of the cheeks like i've done with eloise above.
there are exceptions. sometimes my characters like wilma and all of her children have dimples or a particular way their eyebrow crinkles, or some other definable feature. all that is okay! but just know the more lines you add to a character, the older they look--so you want to use a lighter hand when drawing very young children or babies.
as children age, they "grow" into their facial features. their heads are usually still a bit bigger in proportion to their bodies, with a jawline that is beginning to define, but still relatively soft.
with ellen and leon below, you can tell they are several years older than eloise above, but not so old they begin to look like teenagers or mini adults.
overall, these are the tips that have stuck with me! because i like to give my ocs children or draw them as children, i make a point to dedicate time to figure drawing people of all ages, from babies to old folks, and it has helped a lot!! thanks for asking!! <3

A couple mgs have drills (though it's not exactly a more common power drill)
Actually the set up for "D4 Princess" girls can use everyday objects as their weapons, like Dory has a drill theme as her Panzer and one of her opponents uses a vacuum cleaner. It's kind of silly on purpose so I wouldn't be surprised if more items like screwdrivers or hammers were in there too (I haven't seen it yet :'D)
There's also Drill Dory from Magical Girl Raising Project
Hammers are pretty common (again more oversized and blocky than a more common hardware hammer)
Felicia (Magia Record), Powered Buttercup (PPGZ), Vita (Lyrical Nanaoha)
Also Haruna from "Is this a Zombie?" uses a chainsaw
Screwdrivers I don't think I've seen....hmm
Someone get on that lol
For the Sonic opinion ask:
Canon character with most underutilized potential?
This is probably a lot of people's choice for this answer but- Infinite
I'm p sure I'm beating a dead horse with this but he had SO much potential story-wise. Like more on his connection with the Phantom Ruby, an expansion on his hate for Shadow-- that one was so poorly done that people think he only had the whole breakdown because Shadow kicked his ass when its That and because he thinks Shadow killed his whole team (Sega can say what they want I refuse to believe Shadow actually killed them)
Just. So much
For a less popular answer- Bark the polar bear. Specifically in the old archie comics.
I might be a bit biased but yknow
They made it pretty clear there that out of the Hooligans he was the most soft-hearted one, and that at times he didn't like what they were doing (it's even shown rather than staying purely in headcanon territory when he has that small argument with Nack when they're kidnapping Chip and stealing the chaos emerald)
Idk if they ever planned to expand on any of that but I wouldve liked an explanation on why he's stuck with a bad crowd
Even art-wise I felt like he had underutilized potential. As a character that doesn't speak they could've played with his expressions more but mostly stuck with like BI and >8I ones. The only artist that really took advantage of getting to show what he's thinking via expressions was Diana Skelly
Hi! What's your favorite chapter of your own writing?
Within the boundaries of the current story (because this would get a lot more complicated if I included the other stuff too), I think it would have to be Ascension, aka episode 8. These stories don't always allow me opportunities to write fast-paced action scenes, and I really enjoy how Kayla meets the challenges head-on, in addition to flashes of heroism and her budding Guardian traits. It's a segment I was worried about going into, because anytime you have a scene that's meant to invoke an intense emotion (of any kind) there are a million ways to fail by failing to invoke the target emotion. I'm really satisfied with how it came out, though. There are plenty more action scenes coming up in the rest of the store (way more than we typically got with the original BH series), so if I can get them all to hit the way this one did, I'll be very happy!

“[[MOR] Hnn. It’s already been a week. I’m barely eating or drinking....”
What can we do? Do you have people there, in person, to help you?
I have family here helping me out. They’re doing what they can, but their grieving process is a lot different and they have their own busy lives. Meanwhile I’m a needy sniveling now former caretaker who won’t stop crying for her mommy and can’t stand being left alone I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before I start irritating everyone -_-
The only times I’ve felt remotely normal again is when I’m gaming with friends and but it’s still rough
As for what anyone can do.. I dunno. One of my dogs is going to need to be re-homed I know. And possibly my cat too. Being able to afford two dogs and a cat is looking pretty bleak and my third dog keeps getting into too many fights with one of my other dogs to keep her. I’m gonna try to take my dog to a no-kill shelter and I REALLY wish I could keep my cat in the family, or at least have someone foster him until I maybe get some kind of financial stability, but it’s not looking good. On top of that, I’m going to have to be moving. I dunno if having a room mate would make a difference or not to prevent that and I’d be afraid to invite just anyone in here. Sigh... everything is messed up. I’m at a complete loss -_-
