[The door to Chekov's quarters chimes. Chekov jumps. He had been very careful not to be seen, nobody should have been able to catch him before he was able to make his report on his own terms.]

Pavel, open up.

[Chekov breathes a sigh of relief upon realising it's just Sulu. He lets his partner come in before locking the door again. Sulu sees the dead body on the floor.]

Jesus! Why did you do that?

He vas sending a communication behind the Empire's back. And he's not the only one. Something's happening here, and ve're going to use it to our advantage.

I'm going to need you to trust me here. Don't do it. Report to Mr Spock directly and let him take care of this, okay?

Have you gone insane? This is our chance.

[The door opens a second time, this time without warning. And, this time, it is Spock. He raises an eyebrow at the body. One of the Lieutenants on the side of the revolution. A good one, at that.]

Care to explain, Lieutenant? Ensign?
