“Kveik Party!!!” We had a blast today brewing with Even Skjervold, Bioengineer and Co-founder of @southyeastlabs We owe part of our existence to he and our own @biobrewer ‘s work isolating native yeast strains to make our hyper local beers. He’s a native of Norway and for his wedding we collected a few strains of Kveik, Norwegian Farmhouse yeast to brew several small fermenters of hazy, hoppy citrus bombs using local pils and caramel malts from @carolinamalthouse and @riverbendmalt , local unmalted wheat from @scfarmbureau , crushed coriander, Comet, Simcoe and Cascade hops and 8 different kveik cultures from #maniacalyeast @omegayeast and fellow #milkthefunk -er Mike Mangione’s private collection. Keep your eyes peeled for these each popping up in our taproom over the next few weeks and for some of you lucky enough to be at the Skjervold/Sun wedding later this month.
