It’s Toy Time Tuesday! With...Micro Games Magic Touch Pony NAME# ! Magic Touch ponies (they’re really more horse-like than pony-ish) have not appeared as a TTT feature before because...well....they’re just not that flattering of a sculpt. The head is overly simple and too tiny for the body. The poor eye placement & lack of eyewhite/color ring for the eye doesn’t help them either. Mostly, it is their tiny head that knocks them down. These are often referred to as “Fakie Dream Beauties” (off of mlp) but really, they are their own complete line. They’re well thought out with varied gimmicks, have names & personalities as well as detailed boxes. MGA (Micro Games America) is stamped on the leg so they often get called “Micro Games Horses”. As you can guess by the ‘touch’ in the name, each gimmick is touching or button related. This one (know her name? Send it in!) has press-able hooves, which when you push one it makes a small/short rhythmic tone while the feet light up red in turn with the sound. Notice how the symbol is on both sides (quality) & her complimentary color scheme is pretty nice too. Sadly the hair isn’t that quality though & can frizz easily. I don’t really actively collect these, but I won’t throw them out if I find one, either. There are LOTS to be had, though.
