I've seen a lot of headcanons about Hermeaus Mora being octopus adjacent but I raise you. Basket starfish.

I did a kinda lacklustre drawing of the idea in my head

His tentacles always read more like tendrils to me, and he's definitely more alien looking than an octopus. And also I feel like he latches himself tight onto the space he occupies like a basket star latching itself onto a coral.

I just think the idea of him sticking onto the space he has influence over in such a visually parasitic way feels right. Basket stars are symbiotes more than parasites, but so is knowledge. Sometimes knowledge just feels parasitic. Mora is strange and sticky to me :}
