dear july 18, 2026:
i returned some textbooks and thought to myself, “why do i keep renting these if i don’t even read them?” and, almost immediately, i answered my own question, “cause i haven’t given up on myself. i’ll keep renting cause in the future i believe i will.”
i don’t know if that makes sense to anyone else, but it made sense to me. i just haven’t given up on myself.

Sometimes you work on a project so ridiculous that you have to keep reminding yourself that you’re the idiot who came up with it
You also have to remind yourself that the reason you came up with it was for a good cause
None of this makes the work any less ridiculous, but all the same.
would anyone be interested in a internal monologue heavy story about a siren who tries to erase her nature by going on a quest to find a wizard who can make her human so she wont have to eat people and on the journey meets a naive boy who is not all that he seems or am I writing into the void.
In all honesty just to be clear this is probably going to be more of a moral argument and mostly uses internal monologue throughout with very little happening outside. It's why I'm iffy honestly. I'll write it anyway but I'm a bit nervous about this.
if there is interest I would love to post it online somewhere to get the story out.

Oh, the things I would do to lay in soft plush grass, surrounded in fireflies, and the smell of earth surrounding me. Giant trees that gently blow in the wind with such a gentle touch.
Through those trees, the dark inky sky is full of stars, and the moon is blessing me with her presence.....
And I'm surrounded by a bunch of candles in a circle and my crystals in each hand. While I chant, "Soak me in your essence." Up towards the sky.
You know, just girl stuff.
The stillness of 1am feels like magick.
The sound of the AC on, fighting with the warm air of the night. The TV plays in the background with the sound enough to hear it like a memory from childhood.
The thoughts of ambitions. The world feels full of possibilities. And you hold so tight onto those ambitions because when the sun rises, it all becomes real again.
