Okay, I don’t have any art skills but I have an idea for DPXDC prompt

Jason always wanted a pet. But he never thought his choice would be on a potentially rabid, toxin-infected Laughing Fish fry.

Spoiler alert: Danny is not a mutated fish but a little baby merman who accidentally swam into the waters near Gotham.

Jason throws a fit when Bruce threatens to get rid of a dangerous animal. At night, Robin steals a fishing boat and takes Mr Finton to the nearest reef.

~Ten years later~ Underwater? No more

Jerk Mer!Dan/Danny, who had a bar fight with Aquaman, decided that he would no longer tolerate to live in the same ocean with such a scoundrel. P.S. Dan was the first to argue and assault.

So now he spends all of Red Hood’s money on hot water and fights with him when Jason doesn’t want to order anchovy pizza for dinner. He also learned to periodically threat to cut off electricity throughout the area "if Jason tried to take him to Gotham Bay". 

And when the Joker breaks into Jason’s house, Dan’s not happy about it.

Jason: Why does it smell like something’s on fire?

Dan: Let’s just say the clownfish aren’t good for a barbecue.

Jason*looks at Joker’s body*: Even if you are a fish, you’re an Angelfish.

Dan: Are you drank? Take this garbage away and don’t bother me.

A human!mer!Dan because why not. I wanted to draw something sparkly and pretty and I’m really happy with how this turned out!!! I learned how to make things look super sparkly without dotting the shit out of my tablet!! I love finding new hacks like that.

Made basic designs for the “inner circle” of marine reserve workers for the Shady Oaks Mer!au. Essentially, they’re the inner circle because they knew about Dan and Squid being merfolk first (Dan way before Squid.) These five are gonna have the biggest roles in the au. I know Ihascupquake wasn’t one of the founders, but she didn’t have much of a role in the actual SMP and was severely underrated, so I wanted to give her a more involved role in this.

Justin is a childhood friend of Dan’s in the au. Justin was the first human friend he made (aside from Trayaraus, who found Dan) when he first shifted into human form and came onto land. They’ve been close ever since, even with Justin going off to do Coast Guard for a few years, and eventually met again when Justin came to work at the marine reserve, recommended by Dan himself.

James, or Thnxcya, affectionately nicknamed from how efficient his work was, is also an old friend of Justin’s and Dan’s. He may look unprofessional and shady, but he’s actually really good at his job.

Been yapping about doing a mer!au for a while now to @themintman, finally came around to drawing it. (Let’s be honest, everyone at least thinks about making one at some point.) I chose a Whale Shark for Dan because they’re hella chill and passive, plus they’re pretty adventurous since they hang around the open ocean a lot.
