Look, I drew a (relatively) quick sketch of Dan. I had the idea of having his eyes glow red through a human disguise. And then I also added the detail of his ponytail turning to flame.

Through the windshield of the Specter Speeder, Dan could see the dark shape of the clock-inspired castle growing closer.

His past self led the way, a white light against deep green.

They flew toward the base of the castle and the main tower stretched high into the green sky.

Dan tightened his hands on the back of the bench seat.

Soon, they would be there, and he would face whatever awaited him inside.

Tucker parked the 'Speeder to the right of the large wooden double doors, and the four of them walked single-file, Danny in the lead—and the only one who appeared cheerful.

Dan took up the rear. The less conspicuous he was, the better, for now.

As he crossed the doorway, a strange sensation, like a wave of static, washed over him. He glanced outside, and then at the three kids in front of him, but there was no sign the others noticed it.

As they walked up the long staircase, he remained silent. The kids were also quiet, save for an occasional whispered question or comment amongst themselves, amplified by the Fenton Phones. Their footsteps echoed off the stone steps, an eerie sound that accompanied the deep-pitched, steady whoosh of large moving parts.

I tried my best to mimic the Danny Phantom style.

(Anyone else notice in the TUE episode that Dan's not really all that tall, or that his face looks exactly like Danny's? I kind of headcanon that he partly grew the goatee so he would look older. The baby face idea is why I don't follow the trend of giving him a long handsome face when I draw him. I also wonder if he wears shoulder pads - because I find that thought funny.)

I put so much meaning into this pic, I'm not sure what I should mention. It represents my fanfic "Past Definitions", which can be found on fanfiction.net, deviantArt, and will be on AO3 later. I'm kind of trying to encourage myself to get back to the fic and finish it, but, instead of that, working on the pic just made me waste a lot of time drawing a pic.

So, this pic’s loosely based on one of my Danny Phantom fics (I haven’t thought of a title for it yet, so I call it “Dan fic idea 1″). In the story, Vlad hadn’t spent those ten long years just hiding in a cave, but instead working on something to fix his mistakes. Young Dan hadn’t actually killed his human side back then, but left him near-dead and in a coma. Vlad currently has him floating in a tube to keep him alive. After some elaborate planning, Vlad makes his move, uncertain of whether it will have much affect on Dan. Ultimately, Vlad gathers some ghosts to team up against Dan, who finds himself somehow human and has to escape into Amity Park.

Inside the city, Valerie finds him and won’t let him out of her sight. Having had two classmates and a teacher die when she was just fourteen, plus the parents of another classmate, who had moved to another state and (she thought) also died, plus having this stuff happen at the place she’d been working at... it was kinda traumatizing, and she wants to cling to Danny now that she knows he’s alive.

Mess with the boy and you get the brawn.
