This Homemade Rub BBQ Seasoning Mix from Take Two Tapas will make your BBQ food taste better. This rub gives your meat a tasty crust and makes every bite a flavorful delight. It's the perfect mix of sweet, smoky, and spicy.
Ingredients: 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons smoked paprika. 1 tablespoon chili powder. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 tablespoon onion powder. 1 tablespoon ground cumin. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1 tablespoon kosher salt. 1 tablespoon black pepper. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1 teaspoon dried thyme.
Instructions: To make the spice mix, put together chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, kosher salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried thyme in a bowl. Mix the ingredients together well until they are all mixed in evenly. Use a lot of the rub on the meat of your choice, making sure it covers all sides evenly. After seasoning the meat, let it sit for at least 30 minutes so the flavors can soak in. Get your grill or smoker ready for the temperature you want. Turn the meat over a few times to make sure it cooks evenly and until it reaches the right internal temperature. After taking it off the grill, let it rest for a few minutes. Then you can serve it whole or cut it up however you like.
