If someone had treated her the way the arrogant boy had been treating her back on earth, they would get slapped across the face by their peers. She was starting to feel homesick. Perhaps she had been bullied a bit and perhaps she was a little too obedient back at home but at least she received some respect every now and again. Kale was acting like one of her mother's old boyfriends. He was mean, horrible and terribly rude and despised it when Kara or her mother showed any self-respect for being a woman. 'He's also being a misogynistic little shithead,' She thought, well, either that or it was just her that he was ill-mannered to. The boy who was being followed around by someone, who she realized was Maria, was equally as bad if not worse. He accused her of being a lady of the night based on her clothing and acted like herself and Kale were some sort of thugs planning out a grand theft. And at first, Kara made the assumption that Maria was the kinder one out of the three she had met but perhaps not. In fact, she (he?) might have possibly been the worst. The way they danced around the people they talked to made her head hurt and she felt slightly worried for their mental state. Was it normal for someone to be so cheery all the time? Cheery, dark and cold? The girl shook of the thoughts about the three different boys and stood beside Kale silently, she did not want to fuck this up for him, something she did too much back at home despite trying to obey instructions.
The white haired boy visibly flinched. He was thankful for the white hood he once again had put over his eyes earlier because if he hadn't, everyone around him would have seen his panic. His eyes had widened and he reached up to feel the scars around his neck and shoulders. They were described earlier as black veins but in all honesty they are scars that appeared as dark cuts. He could have sworn he almost felt the gears of his heart click faster. Maria might have looked odd, in fact he might have passed as a female nymph from on of the other kingdoms. Either that or this tiger person was after him. Maria pondered on the thought for another split second but then pushed it out off his mind. People couldn't even tell the difference between his gender let alone where he came from. The panicked moment he had for a second just made his grin even wider. "Me? Perhaps...but at least I have the means to travel this world legally," He whispered to Kale, making sure that Aaron would not hear a word he said, "I don't need to fear for safety or my freedom everyday." He paused and instead of grinning or smiling, he smirked and let his hood fall back slightly, revealing his piercing pale eyes, "And I certainly don't need to get a woman to read for me." With the amount they fucked with Maria it would have been a waste if he couldn't at least have heard the young girl read the words, especially when she spoke so casually and loudly. To be honest Maria was surprised he was able to catch such a thing. He was even more surprised that someone from the tribe was even able to identify such a cursive handwriting engraved on the wall. "It's a shame we can't speak more," His voice was now filled with sincerity with hints of sarcasm and his expression formed into a soft sadness, "Goodbye, till we meet again little boy."
