It is probably old for others, but two months ago, Malaysian’s government MCMC has announced to block fanfiction.net due to erotic and incestous stories posted on there. FF tweeted it also happened for Indonesia as well. http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/malaysia-bans-fan-fiction-site-over-erotic-stories#dcKPks9mBqWiGfoZ.97 Though there are NSFW materials posted on the site, it’s up to each person’s own caution to view these materials. Even those who are legal of age. In the topic of fanfiction based on other existing mediums such as anime, games, books, etc; It doesn’t really equate to real life itself. There is a petition going on to demand the MCMC to unblock FF, so many authors can continue posting and sharing to other people.
