☕ I wrote myself a reminder today because I almost forgot AGAIN to put the coffee pot underneath when making coffee! And it's not even early morning on a work day! Day 4: Me and You. OH, Jace. How I tried to protect my heart and deny your importance. But you wouldn't let me, sweet boy. In fact, you fought your way in my heart with early, strong movements. My heart would have so much love as you tumbled around with my loud first graders (or my loud teaching. Hahah) You would have been so wise and you would have intuitively given people what they needed to be happy. Day 3: responsibility. I learned that I only have to be responsible for myself, my husband, and my angel babies, Anna and Jace. I don't need to please anyone else. I am allowed to give myself any self care that I need from moment to moment. I can love my babies, celebrate them in any way I choose, publicly or silently in my heart. There is no wrong way to survive. My babies finally erased this people pleasing girl and left such a beautiful, strong women in her place.
